I will be going for trusty old zma. I will be booking a black zma in a day or two. But, I have to admit that the p220 stole my mind. let me see how the zma-R-2 saga will start . Will keep you updated guys.

All the best! The right choice I would say! I have ridden both back to back &feel inspite of the lack of Gizmos, the ZMA is the better choice in terms of reliability, refinement&overall owner satisfaction.

zma is a honda, peace of mind guaranteed. The p220 are like the american muscle cars of the 60s.A good performer, but reliability still remains to be sorted out though bajaj has solved a mojority of niggles

It is a direct fit, when i say it is Manufacturer is Brembo...Lol
Kidding, it ain't mentioned. could be TVS or their partners.

                Here's a link: http://www.supercircle.com/brake_pad.html
Observe the semi-circle cut out end, that's how the Zma disc pad is.
SuperCircle is a supplier to TVS as mentioned.

Pls clarify - Apache or RTR or do both work on the same... asking this as the disc on those bikes is totally different!

Yup. The RTR has petal disc and it looks like this one has more contact patch than the regular type disc on the Apache 150. Thought you might have known which one you picked up

Oops!!!! I forgot bout that...my bad. Ok here goes...the disc is different but the calipers are the same. Either ways, i will confirm from the store person if the pads were from Apache or the RTR.

                          • I am using the RTR Petal disc on a F2 adaptor plate on a Fiero Hub in my RXZ. AFAIK , the petal disc should be a fit onto the older version apache... Joel must know best...

So did you call the person from sai motors whose info i had given you?

Also read few pages back about crashguard query, nope, i didn't fit P220 crash guard on Zma I have fitted a fabricated Cbz Xtreme crashguard on my zma. I guess it's been almost a year since i fitted it, it's doing its job well, hasn't touched any bumps or hit ground etc during many of my rides so far. Practically useful.

                                Pics of crashguard:

Also about the Query of fitting 9amps battery to Zma. Just fitted it 2 days back, the Amco Suckasa :P battery conked with in a year and half . Will post pics soon of new battery and it's fitting . Details:

                                Brand: Amaron
                                Model: Pro Bike Rider
                                Capacity: 9amps
                                Type: Sealed, maintainance free
                                Cost: Rs 1500/-
Warranty: 60 Months (Yes, thats true!)
                                Where?: JC Road, Bangalore

Now comes fitting part, no major worries, this battery is just marginally bigger in terms of height to stock battery, so a bit of hammering to the battery "cage" made this battery fit inside with out probs. Next about the "gate" or battery lock, That has to be bent a bit as this battery is a bit "fatter" than the stock. Once the "gate" is bent to accomodate the "fat" battery, you need to use a lengthy bolt instead of the small bolt to "fix" the "gate" and voila! you got extra power fitted right in to the same battery "cage"

Iam currently running 55/60w Halegen Philips vision plus 50 Bulb and a single horn, will be getting dual horns by weekend hopefully (again! my earlier one fell off during a ride )

My friend's been using Osram night breaker on his zma and it is THE BEST halogen i have seen so far, the high and low beams are too good, but pricey at around Rs 1600 for 2 bulbs (they come in pairs)

I will be going in for Bixenon HID (depending on santa to source one, he's already got dual bixenon Hids on his R15 devil ) in future with an auxilary spot lamp, now that i have a good and bigger battery, will post up if i end up getting these done.
