Horn may be feeble due to low batt. Also is the HID connected directly to batt?

hey man, how r u? remember me?
I have the Avenger 180 coil installed on my P180UG3.I converted the bike to DC using KBPC3510 packaged 35A bridge rectifier. Used heatsinks and all. So now I got an H4 HID kit. The 65 watt charging line from the avenger coil headlight seems to be charging the battery fine and the HID is working perfectly in city stop-n-go traffic.I've attached pics of the beam. If you check those pics out you'll see there's a lot of glare. Any ideas about reducing the glare and making the light fall just on the ground? I tried the beam adjustment screw. It didn't work. The edges of the reflectors shine like crazy. Also my stock p180 horn sounds kinda feeble when HID is running. Can you suggest what's wrong? Whats making the horn sound feeble? Starter and all work just fine. THe LCD backlight, taillight and the indicators work as they worked before the mod.
And i must say ur matte p classic looks superb man.!

I do not sell any such kits. (I simply dont have time, what I made was for my bike). However, I can help you thru this forum. But you have to get someone else to do it!

    Also look at Shreeni's link.

Ok, that means we take 1 a.c. input frm a wire & 1 frm GND & connect -ve d.c. to GND. (sry 4 d dumb ques, actually cnt see d pic properly cuz m on my fone.)

Btw, are you using this setup now?
Yeah, its correct. And that resistor should be something more, like 100k or so. I used this set up for a month or so. Now, I am using a rewinded coil + custom RR unit. Wanted more light you see! Now its a 100/90W h/l.

I know. Was just giving a simple example.

Its good to have you here Abhi, you are a walking Encyclopadeia man
Thanks! I have only shared what I know!

But -ve may be at other voltage levels. In this specific case. the AC GND and DC GND are not the same. The AC potentials are say -6V and 6V at the 2 terminals (+ve and -ve) to get 12V AC. After rectification, DC will be 12V and 0V at +ve and GND terminals.

So pls follow that. We all like to conclude the things in short, but that should be convayed properly else, whats the point in postings Right?

+1 to that, proper usage conveys the idea better. And Sajjt, I have seen some SMS text in your advice too no offence, just kidding, we are all spoiled fans of shortcuts but that should be very minimal. I got the idea.

    Hi abhijeet,
Can you tell me basically what is the difference between
    1) A ground
    and
    2)A negative terminal

I am too confused between the two.

I want to know how to ground a particular terminal on a PCB.

Here r a few ques, plz answer.
    1. Components 4r d custom rectifier, is der any chng 4 my bike?

    2. I suppose 'GND' (circuit diag) is 'ground' i.e. the earthed wire. Am i supposed 2 connect it 2 d custom rect bolt?

    3. Custom rectifier circuit, r we gonna connect d -ve dc wire 2 earth?

    4. The 'bleeder resistance', am i supposed 2 connect it in series aft d capacitor?

    5. Which yellow wire m i supposed 2 connect my rectifier 2, d 1 wid a red line, i.e. Yellow wire wid a red line?

Cn i plz hv ur fone no, in case i need some help.
    Thanx in advance!!
This is something I did a long time back.
    1. Rectifier would be the same.
    2. GND is ground.
    3. -ve DC to earth yeah.
    4. Where did you get that?!
    5. I dont know abt Disco wiring. Mine has a yellow wire without any strips.

Basically only if you have interest in electronics, and have spare time, should you go for it.
