Abhijeet, I'm not entirely sure which parts you mean by OEM parts? Can you please clarify

    • ^ The newer bulls comes with full DC electricals right from the factory. You can use the electricals from them.

      • I don't think rewinding is necessary for a Bullet. You will have to direct the Lighting Coil and Charging Coil Wire and feed it to RR unit. The RR is robust enough to take care of charging..

As Bullet is a low revving machine, rewinding won't help much bcz thicker the gauge ull get low current at low revvs. (Correct me Abhi)

        Firstly why do u want 2 HID's

          Correct!

As for 2 HIDs, 1 is more than enough!

          • Hii connected 100/90 philips and also tried 55/60w philips,i have hella headlight unit i thnk its doesnt spread that much is other bike headlight spread, and 55/60watt is bit much powerful enough to flash oncomming vehicles
i have connected relay to safegaurd switches,is that relay increase intensity of light???i obseved that...

This hella unit is what many tourers here will die for - just check out that piercing hi beam down a long road!

If you want some spread, go for the Lucas unit.

Relays will protect your bike's wiring and switches from melting down due to the 100W load.

You did not tell me about the current at 2k rpm with h/l on!

              • my multimeter doesnt working properly!!! when i was cheking for current at high rpm it work fine but atetr that it refuce do show reading!!!
now i have to get new and then will check.
which unit is good for high speed touring hella or lucas??

The BCU in these bike do not allow the bike to be on DC and make use of self starter simultaneously. Only way out is put a switch or a relay.

Exactly what I was looking for. Is it possible that we meet up sometime and get this done for my 180UG3?

Depends upon what you want. Hella one will have long range - allow one to look further down the road or in case of fogs. But will not have much spread.

So, actually depends upon you! Buy the lucas one, imitation model will cost 100 bucks only. Just ask for amby reflector and try it out and see if you like it.

Shreeni, is bull's RR a full DC RR? I know that's a misnomer since RR's job is to rectify/Regulate AC-to-DC :P still wanted to know.
So essentially I have to cut off the wires from both coils and feed them to RR. But I guess the coils have been grounded (Solded to stator body) in stock condition, won't it affect in any way?

As well, 1 LB (/w projector), 1 HB (/w reflector). LB only won't be sufficient enough for the long tours.

                      • coil plate has total 8 coils, one is for ignition, what is its main function in capasitive discharge ignition system???
acording to my study capasitor is chrged by current and its get discharged to ignition coil primary and step up take place and got spark at plug gap.
so my first queastion is for that due to winding that 7 coil became magnet when magneto rotate on coil, due to higher gauge coil and current in coil is very high at high rpm so it creat very high magnetic field so is that current and magnetic field will make effect on that coil which used for ignition system like higher temprature or chnge in magnitude?
asking that becase tomorrow solder get melted and bike doesnt star at all !! so when i chekd that coil solder get weakend,i think it can be due to my bad soldering skill and using 25watt solder iron and thin solder wire,or is that due to higher temp and winding related ??

No it should not affect the ignition coil.

About the loose wire, I guess you have to solder more carefully. It is not due to heat.

                          • yes,i think also its due to bad soldering!!due to that ......have to tow 30km!!by friends bike...so others also keep eye on that solder while joining !!

I dont know exectly about Bull's stator config, but I know that you have to change the stator plate + RR unit + ignition coil + CDI for the change from 6V to 12V. If yours is already 12V you need to change the stator plate + RR unit as a pair.

Shreeni, pls correct me if I am wrong.
