Hello All.
Couple of days back i had mentioned a chain sprocket problem, which now has been rectified by changing the unit completely.
Cost came up as 1380 including labor.
Now the problem still persists, the bike does not gone above 8,000rpm or 110kmph....
Suddenly the chain has become smooth and that adrenaline rush when it touches 8,000rpm is gone...
I Have no clue why this has happened or there are any changes in the carb settings which shows effect on the IDLE RPM....
Any ideas or suggestions please let me know...
After the chain sprocket, i feel the bike has become a lot smooth.. i feel the 180 cc using all its power to reach a certain speed and trust me all the pick up has increased....
Thanx in advance do rep back.sigpic

Your carburetor is either running too rich or too lean. Hppened with me too, the bike never crossed 8K rpm in 5th gear or 110kmph, went to mechanic and found that the AFR was too lean. Got it corrected and the bike flies again.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostHello All.

Thanks for that....One more doubt.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostYour carburetor is either running too rich or too lean. What exactly should i tell the mechanic??
Can you please guide me on that too..
I get what you saying but listen thats the second step that it has converted to lean or rich...But tell me one thing what made it do that?? what made it too lean or rich?? there has to be something right and AFAIK no one has fiddled with the carb settings...
All this 8,000rpm stuff happened when the chain problem took place...sigpic

May be that the mechanic has fiddled with the carburetor setting and you never came to know that?Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostThanks for that....One more doubt.

Ask the mechanic to set the carburetor again neither for mileage nor for excessive pick-up. Ask him to set it as it comes from factory.

I've dropped bike for servicing at B.A.S.S. No Castrol Bike Zone this time.
Airfilter, fork oil, rear suspension gas filling, Carb cleaning (using spray), brake fluid were requested to be replaced/changed.
Approx costing is 1100.
Bike had done 3000+ kms / 6 months since last servicing. It has done more than 4000km on motul 300v. I'll might replace it soon.
Last time when I serviced at BASS, the experience wasn't good. The service bay area is literally flooded with bikes. There's no space to accommodate fresh bikes. The scenario is terrible. Let's hope I'll get better experience this time. Fingers crossed.
