. I guess it was punctured since 2 or 3 months but I didn't realize.

So i had the problem with the battery draining out without any warning.I gave the battery for charging and now it is working fine.I went to the service centre today and told them the problem. They checked the battery using a multimeter and the charge was at 13.4V or something without starting and when the bike was revved it reached 14.7V.So i suppose the problem of battery not getting charged can be ruled out.But they cant point out how the problem could have occurred in the first place.
Now here is another weird problem i have noticed now.it is kind of a small issue now but i dont want to leave it unnoticed. This problem happens only at certain times. The bike after starting or any other time after revving passed 2000rpm and after releasing the throttle the rpm needle gets stuck at like 2000/2300rpm and its not just the needle,i can feel the bike engine revving at that rpm.It wont come down to idle position. So after it gets stuck i rev it again and release the throttle then it comes back to to 1000rpm position/normal position.I checked if the throttle cable was jammed or the throttle itself was not closing completely but no such issues. It only gets stuck at 2300rpm position or below. Pls advice.Bike idles at 900-1000rpm when cold and settles at 1200rpm when warmed up.

Cross check by watching the throttle control located at the carburetor. (the one to which the throttle cable is attached and see if it is getting stuck with rpm) If not then the problem must be with one of the jets in the carburetor.Originally posted by Ghost11 View Post

EDIT: The internal throttle control mechanism might also be at the fault. (might be the throttle spring) Get the carburetor diamantled and cleaned.Last edited by abhichotu.abhi; 10-31-2011, 11:22 PM.

yeah thanx i tried it but it was not solving my solution i want to see the vehicles coming from the back so i want small mirrors so that they r no problem to me while i am riding my bike. Anyone has a better solution to it please share.Originally posted by kb100 View Postyup it has been done before , ive seen it in a few cases , but the mirrors are aftermarket pieces , the look cool bot their efficiency is debateable , and i do not have any pics of them with me nowclick me

It's a physical damage, they will die trying to prove that it is due to accident. Greater chances of claiming Insurance.Originally posted by easy rider View PostGuys, i just found a hole in my silencer and there is a lot of exhaust gas coming out from it too. if it is a small round hole in the bottom of the tapered part do not bother its a water drain hole its present on all pulsarsOriginally posted by easy rider View PostGuys, i just found a hole in my silencer and there is a lot of exhaust gas coming out from it too. Hi, back here after a very long time. My bike's doing 10k kms and engine's doing fine, its due for 3rd paid service. Needed some doubts to be cleared. The engine sound is higher when you ride it after an hour or so after riding back home from college, particularly past 3000rpm.In the mornings, the sound is so 'impolluted'. Is it common with ur 180s too? Secondly there's engine oil leak from the oil drain hole since couple of months. Initially it was less, now it looks like the whole engine's beneath and even the gear lever-engine hole is oily wet. I hate this since the dust and mud stick there like iron filings to a magnet. Something wrong? Is it an easy problem to get fixed during the upcoming service?

It might probably a loose nut or bad washer. If both does'nt solve the problem use m-seal.Originally posted by sachi2icekold View PostHi, back here after a very long time. @sach2icekold: The sound issue seems tobe normal, my bike too behaves good while cold and the sound becomes harsh when hot.
@all: Did a 300 kms round trip today. Learnt a hard lesson, greater the speed more the fatigue. Just as usual started late (late by 3 hrs I am always LATE) @11:00 AM, city traffic, Heat, made me twist the throttle badly on the smooth 2 lane highway with average speeds between 100-110 kmph most of the time but naughty villagers and animals always assured that I lose my speed to almost nill every 5-10 kms. Reached the destination which was 150 kms away in exact 2.5 Hrs. Finished the work by 5:00 PM and started the onward journey, this time the speeds were even greater 110-115kmph with naughty villagers appearing.... blah blah.... I was afraid of the dark as the stock headlight is a candle on the road illuminating just a few meters ahead and adding to that the glare from oncoming traffic due to badly scratched helmet visor. Thus the higher speeds, indeed I reached this time in exact 2 Hrs breaking my own record.
Sharing a few pictures that I managed to click during some butt-relaxing breaks.
And as I said my butt was badly hurt at the end and overall fatigue level was very higher which I have never encountered till now not even on 700 kms one way trips. May be due to increased speeds which led to several 1000's of calculations per second running in my mind.
Sharing some pix:

Thanks.
