Hey Guys,
This is a query for Mumbai Bikers, am leaving for Delhi on Friday on my bike via Ahmedabad, Jaipur.
We would start by 4 from Pune, I need <through maps> shortest/fastest route to bypass Mumbai towards Ahmedabad, please give details keeping in mind I have never been to Mumbai on bike.

Otherwise you can use google maps.
To get to mumbai you'll need to use old rusty mumbai pune highway but you obviously know that already.

Thanks for your response, have been till Khandala on this side of the highway,,,
people tell me Mumbai in morning is a nightmare and as we are planning Ahmedabad on the first day, we need to be quick and traffic should be the last thing that should cause delay and only Mumbai localites could help with that..Ride On,

All the BS4 and BS3 cities sell 91 octane Unleaded Petrol (Normal). The octane rating of Speed, Xtra premium is also 91. There is no difference in octane ratings. i was bc with our kerala g2g to vagamon.
total kilometers-450kms.
mileage-37.
average speed - 80-90 in high way and 10-35 in hill ride.
total bikes 45 and only one pulsar 180.

I think you are asking about clutch cover GASKET. It's just a ruber material which sticks in between the clutch cover and engine to prevent oil leaking. it costs around 2-3rs and the replace period is about 5k i think..Originally posted by arjunb25 View PostMy vehicle has done 11972 km and got new timing chain put on my bike with the adjustment of the taped also. Today My bike is brand new touch wood. She rocks. What smoothness well ankit williams a member of xbhp had a ride on my bike and he says that your bike is an awesome well maintained bike.
Well the cost of the timing chain was 200 rs. The new engine oil of elf moto 4 gold 20W50 was for 240 rs and the labour cost was 150 rs plus he had to change one more thing which I don't know what it was which was for 110 rs.
Well had paid 700 rs in all.
Have changed the spark plugs in every 5000 km. Plus I do one more thing i.e. When ever I get the new engine oil I also get new air filter also replaced.
Well I love to maintain my child.

now coming to the fall, it was very tight "L" turn, and i was doing minimal speeds as compared to the earlier turn. almost half turn was covered and then suddenly i knew that my body is very close to the road and in next second bike touches ground.bike scrtached to the wrong side and i was with the bike.but my pillion was on the centre of the bike. but nothing happend to him, even single scratch. but i was badly scratched in my hand and knee. then suddenly my co-riders came and done medicines. then they were asking me about my riding gears. i was only with helmet and jacket.no gloves, no knee,elbow pads.thus i knew the importance of riding gears and the newbies who were there without riding gears. now i am in preparation to buy some riding gears, because its really paining.almost my first fall from my bike and it really helped me a lot to know about the riding gears.
now coming to the factor of fall, as i said it was a very tight turn, and as my pillion also said we were slow. but not very much slow to avoid leaning.there is another factor befind that. as i said only me and one another bike was double seated out of 45 bikes. our destiny was a hill station "vagamon". in my first ride i came to know one thing that, we should travel single. atleast when going to any hill station. 180 really sucks to climp hill with pillion. i was shifting down and down to go with others but, all were overtaken me.
.then i tried to decrease braking as much as possible. after a good breaking, it was very difficult to move up.
.then, that turn was with a slop, that made to come closer to the earth after half turn. you may understand now what i am saying. this lead to slip front tyre first and then rear and here we goes......

i like to say you all,
1. whenever you are going to a group ride never carry anyone especially when going to hill.even one fz guy was saying that his bike coudnt climb even he was single.
2. put on riding gears . there was scratches in my helmet also. i was thinking about my head without helmet.
now i am ok. half pain is gone now.
