• I had my brake fluid replaced toady at the SVC.After replacing i have ridden it for like 10 odd kms but now when i brake it feels just like when i got the bike brand new, like when the brakes were in the bedding-in phase. It doesnt have that intial bite no matter how much force i give to the lever. After the intial bite it kinda settles.Still i feel a bit scared at the loss in braking i am experiencing now. Also the brake fluid is now pink colour one, before it used to be almost transparent type.Is it a different grade fluid? Will the braking improve after i use it more? What should i do?

P.S:I have replaced only the brake fluid and not the brake pads.

• Used a new product of 3m a review on it

Well we have always heard of motul chain cleaner and motul lubricant yeah correct they r good no doubts about it. But a bit expensive.

Well I bought this product from 3m u all know about this company if I am not wrong.
Well here is goes like this
3m 4 way lubricant is for cleaning the chain like in motul we call chain cleaner
The price of 3m 4 way is 195 rs and motul chain cleaner is for 485rs.

Know for lubrication of the chain
In 3m it is known as wet sprayable grease it is all spray ok and in motul it is known as motul lubricant.
The cost of 3m wet spray is 600rs. But got it for 495rs. And motul lubricant is for 585rs.

Well sharing the snaps and my review on this.

Wet sprayable grease

3m 4 way spray

well after cleaning and then using the lubricant of 3m the bike is really smooth really it is thousand times better than that stupid gear oil 90 number there is no dirt anywhere and more over the bike is really smooth the chain is absolutely free for spin no problem at all.
Well after some time when the entire process of cleaning and lubrication of the bike was done after like 25 min I touched the chain well it was like u were touching 90 number gear oil I mean it u have to try it for sure. I have used it and it has been said that use it at every service i.e. 2000 km as I get my bike service at that km from the last service the bike is really smooth and nice.
But yes I will use the motul also ones just to see the difference between the 2.
That's me ask anything on this shall let u know

My bike is idling fine when I start it, but after initial run of a km or two, she is idling at 2-3K and sometimes even at 4K. Fuel Economy has been kicked into oblivion...this started out of nowhere...
What may be the issue?
Help!
get ur carb checked, as it might be running RICH, also set the idle rpm to 1.5 when hot. i.e. after few kms ride.
Aside also check for the accelerator cable, may be its bent/stretched at some point, MAY BE

• A Pulsar being burnt in Allahabad

I saw this paper inext well sharing a snap of an incident which happened on a Pulsar I know this is not a 180 UG4 it might be a 180 UG3. Well see the snap and give your views.

Well in the cutting it says that he saw some spark from his front side and when he stopped the bike the bike went to flames I wonder. What could be the cause anyone can throw some light on this.

That's a Karizma or first gen pulsar.

+1. Its not a Bajaj for sure. Silencer looks like that of ZMA.

• ** going pune -> delhi

Hi Guys,

Have a P180 UG3 and planning a Pune -> Delhi next Friday.
<Seems a better option than train this time :P>
Have done 910 Km a day, touched 131 Kmph, ripped at 121 Kmph for quite a long time, done 350 Km Night Ride, gone Ooty/Goa and many short to medium rides, so long trip experience is not an issue.
Own a Alpinestars jacket, cramster gear, cramster luggage, as Safety First.

Bike has done 15000 Km + in 12 months, its anniversary today.
In terms of mods, have switched to Iridium Spark Plugs, upgraded to 55 W bulb and use Motul 5100 at gap of 2500 Km, <Tried 300v also, but was highly disappointed> and lube chain at interval of 500 Kms <Motul> and use nitrogen for tires.

As a part of this trip, what i am looking forward to is, suggestions/comments that what all i should be getting changed/checked before this mega ride. <in short what Pulsar 180 might need to have looked after covering 15K +>.

I am looking forward to getting clutch plate changed, tires and chain sproket would run for this trip. <Switching to michelin then.. :P>

Many Thanks.

Akshat
Ride On,
Akshat

Check the cables at first, change the fuel pipes, check for tyre alignment and get the suspension overhauled (skip if already done), change engine oil before the trip (I had a bad experience while doing a 700kms one way trip on a 1000kms old oil), check brakes. These were some irregular things that should be done, I am preassuming that normal things like airfilter, sparkplugs etc.. etc.. are changed and checked. As you are an experienced traveler you need not much tips. But, PLEASE carry a air-pump with you for filling tires with air in case of emergency (assuming you are on tubeless tyres).

It was nice reading your past experience with your bike and keep on sharing with us your travelogues + experiences.

Happy, Safe and Prolong Motoring!

In performance, RTR 180/ P200/ P220 can clearly beat it... Karizma can beat, maybe not "clearly".

I had a drag with my P180 UG3 against a friend on Karizma. I launched good but initially he zoomed ahead. I was so scared of an embarassing defeat that I shifted carefully, and then managed to come beside the Karizma...
By the time, the empty road ended, it was like a draw between the 2 bikes.

Don't know about UG4, but on UG3, A good rider can easily beat me with the Karizma. An average rider cannot.
