  • Need Help On Pulsar 180 ug4 console going blank

    Hi All,

    I have pulsar 180 cc UG4 from 2010 and today suddenly the console was blank.Refused to start in any condition.
    Pushed it to a store he said fuse it gone tried changing the fuse didn't worked.Then he changed the battery ..Still didn't worked.

    Finally he connected directly the fuse wire by making a cut in between.He was telling the wiring has problem.
    Please let me know will direct connection without fuse will effect?And what the problem can be before I hand over to my mechanic..
    Really worried for my bike!!!

      Get the wiring change asap. Don't ride it with the wire cut not safe. It is not expensive I guess

        Fuse helps in preventing damage to wiring and electrical/electronic components in the bike by cutting off the current supply.He may have started the bike without fuse but dont do the samething now.Get it checked soon other wise over voltage will destroy the components.And are you sure that the store owner placed the same number fuse in the fuse box when you showed him?If not,get the correct size fuse and bro my sincere suggestion is to stand beside the mechanic and watch the things he does on your bike so that next time you can troubleshoot the problem yourself

          Well buddy the mechanic did it I guess he has made it too tight. I went for a long 300 km ride after he did the job and I had lubed it then still the sound is there. I guess I will go there again. Another thing I showed it to the outside mechanic he says to flip the front sprocket

          Well I was right the. Went to service station got the front sprocket flipped and the problem is solved. Now there is no sound.

          Please one request or rather a help which is a better bulb for our bike not the hid but the same as stock but with better light.

            Osram Night Breakers do a decent job, better than stpck bulbs.

                135 KPH.

                I did attain 141 KPH but it was on descent so doesn't count. I could have pushed it further but bike was very unstable.

                The best bit was 124 kph in 4th gear.

                    You think new chain doesn't need to lube. That's very funny. New chain or not, bike will vibrate like hell without lube. Good luck with that. And without lube, you'll also need to change the sprockets too. So expense goes into a thousand.

                    I'm happy to use lube the chain with Rs. 40/ half ltr oil can. Using this can since a year and very happy about it.

                    My bike has done 20k+ in 4.5 years. The chain is still virgin.

                      I use motoul chain lube one of the best. Complete chain sprocket is for 1300 here in my town. Well it is better to keep the bike fully lubed every time good for the rider and the bike.

                            Facing some stability problems while leaning in speeds above 40 - have changed the ball raiser set a couple of weeks above .. And checked thr tyre and air pressure on it they all normal but can this happening by the harm bearing i haven't changed it yet clocked 30000 km now. Can it solved by changing swing harm bearing ?

                                Do any body noticed new colour pattern of bajaj pulsar 180: ho man ....it is going terrible that they are ruining the looks of the ride...I think there idea is to sale 200ns instead of 220 and 180 s. :banghead:
