Who says that filling nitrogen does not looses air from the tyre just 5 days back I had filled it and to my surprise I had lost 3 points each front and back got normal air filled this time. Well happy to fill it. As it was not practical to spend money I believe a good decision.

I think this nitrogen is more hyped than anything else, for a normal road user filling of nitrogen is not going to tranform his ride, moreover i doubt how much of accuracy these nitrogen filling machines have, AFAIK, only F1 teams have the true nitrogen filling machines, and even they are pure to 99.98% so .02 % defecit is till left, even these machines are not 100% pure, so what can be said of these normal fillers.

Can I clean my pulsar air filter with normal water thoroughly and let it dry overnight and then wet in engine oil and use in bike??

It's not an efficient way to clean but yeah you could clean with running water, wring it and let it dry overnight. But for best results use kerosene or diesel instead of water.
You don't wet it in engine oil, just sprinkle some.

shouldn't be a problem, use some mild detergent also. i think tvs used to recommend this for the samurai/shogun?! soak it in warm (not hot) water with a little detergent and squeeze out the dirt.
just dont scrub it only squeeze with your hands, because it will cause the sponge to disintegrate.

Use some engine oil to re oil it - it should be slightly oily to touch but not dripping.

                    Hello brother
This is the method that should be followed
                    1) remove the air filter and wash it under running water with surf etc. Do not use kero or diesel since its bad for the foam.
                    2) let it dry. Now purchase a pouch of 2t oil (castrol is 14rs), pour it on a tray or sreal a big thali (plate) from your mom. Pour it on there and put the air filter on top.
                    3) press the filter all around using the bottom of a steel glass (again steal from mom!)
                    4) flip the filter and again squeeze it from the other side.
                    Done!
The quantity of 2t is perfect hence no need to measure, also 2t burns more cleanly than engine oil in the bike so it wont leave any deposits etc.
I tried attaching pics but its showing an error

                      Update
You can use engine oil too.
Some guys say engine oil some say 2t.
I prefer 2t. I may be wrong. But either way your good to go. If you use engine oil use a little thinner ones like w30 oils.
Also lip grease around the filter once it's in place to seal everything up. You can use normal grease,

2t oil is perfect man for lubricating these foam filters, why dont' these mechanics washes the filters the way you have mentioned ,all of them cleans the filters with your precious petrol even the ASC mechanics.Aren't they trained by the company to clean the filters with water.

Well many people clean with petrol
On the long run its bad for the foam
                          Also petrol is so costly:P

Bad idea . It shall not clean out the old dirt & oil . Moreover water you used shall get trapped into the foam by the oil and make it rot in time .

If you want to do it the shortest easiest but proper way - soak the foam in kerosene and squeeze out , dry it well by squeezing between wads of newspaper , then oil it with 2T , engine-oil or gear oil , squeeze out as much oil as possible and refit . Squeeze , not wring .

If in more hurry , buy and keep a spare for that piece of foam - it's around Rs 50 I think . Then you can fit the clean+oiled one and go . Clean and dry the dirty one at leisure .

When I replaced mine around 17k it was still as good as new. It's your call, I don't think it will make much of the difference.
