:P, there were few riders along, though i drove it home. Didn't realize the finger had gone that time. <Without rear brakes >.
Typing, haha, that is related to my job. I can't stop typing.

Chandni chowk area is the same, face it every morning. Dogs keep running here and there...
Well, about doggie, P180 + my weight went over that soul. He was alive than, but i think his chances of survival weren't that great.
Bike, , few scratches on head/body and rear brake pedal is damaged. Right leg guard is gone and both side mirrors.

Just happy that it could have been a lot worse, specially after looking at the helmet.

-- Just a note to everyone to at least wear gloves/helmet and something full sleeves while riding. It looks smart and also saves you.

        • Need help with 180 ug4

Hi when last at 12000 km I had got my PULSAR serviced and had changed the spark plugs and timing chain also and engine oil with air filter. I am using moto 4 gold 20w50 engine oil well day before yesterday at 13500 km I got it serviced again with engine oil and air filter changed but after like 100 km I can feel the bike is very hard to pickup after 60 km/hr speed she is not soft like before.
What could be the problem. I have been using chain lubrication every 500 km the tyres r very smooth and the chain is also smooth no problem checked there is no different sound from the engine at all.
I am unable to diagnose the problem can u all help me on this.

Alright one thing I would like to say I used system g addictive with the petrol this time for the first time could that be a problem on the bike. System g is used with normal petrol only and heard it does no harm to the engine what else could be the problem guys. The clutch is also working very well smooth no issues the bike is also not heating. Why the hell she is hard in picking up after 60? Help me guys help me.

          • Proud Owner Of UG3 180

hey guys,I am a proud owner of ug 3 180 till date clocked her 32000 kms but no problems at all..i have done the tire changes which i have done to increase the breaking of my bike as stock tires were not up to the mark and also got totaled ... As im not a kind of a speedy guy i used Pirelli sport demon 140/70-17 at rear and mrf zapper 100/80-17 front...although it decreased a lot of torque but breaking has increased unbelievably... i usually ride it at a speed of 70-80 km/hr so its good for me....
Secondly i have changed my sprocket to that of ug4 180 which made my bike much more taller geared but i changed the sprocket before i change my tire set...so planning to change sprocket to Stock ug 3 180 as one day when i was on the high way my bike refused to go beyond 113km/hr...previously it touched 126km/hr (all stock)...later with only sprocket change to that of ug4 it reached 129km/hr, not a big difference but still 3km/hr that to on fully crouched...
and its gives me a constant 40-45km/pl average on a speed of 70-80km/hr... but twice it gave me an average of 50km/pl + on grandpa style riding ...
so want to say im happy with my baby!!!! she has never broken my believe in her...~~!!!

                  1. Here our P180s give us between 40-50 kpl. It depends on your riding and how good it is maintained. Hunk should give you a little better but it's not much to brag about. Fz gives considerably lower.
                  3. About pillion comfort it has to be same on hunk and pulsar. Basically climbing and getting down is a hard part. Because on both bikes pillion seat is set very high and only 5'10'' + tall person are really comfortable with climbing on to pillion seat, other shorter people kinda have to jump for getting down. Moreover Hunk pillion seat is even higher than P180 so more are the difficulties with it. If you're looking at pillion as your GF who would hug you firmly then FZ isn't that bad. All three bikes are utterly terrible if your pillion is some 60+ years old lady.
                  4. Again I think it's same with few exceptions. Both companies have bad authorized service centers. Certainly lower cc HH like splendor and passion are very reliable but except Karizma, I don't see any HH ~150cc have lasted more than a decade(ex ambition, ol' CBZ). In case of Bajaj, I think higher cc bikes like pulsars are more reliable than platinas and disco. Yamahas supposedly have better service center but it's little expensive there.
                  5. You should look at power figure instead. The true competitor of Hunk is Discover 150. Both make 13 bhp and do 110 kph on a good day. P135 is a bit better and faster. Fz has very good low end and is the best city machine out there. But on highway I'll vouch for P150 as it has better middle range and higher end than fz. I haven't ridden Hunk but the way I see at the hunk rider's driving style, the handling on Hunk must be better than pulsars. P180 is in different league. The competitors of p180 are karizma, A180 etc,. All HH feels light and nimble whereas pulsars feel more rigid and rugged.
                  6. Any of the above machines will do good for more than 5 years.

Many of us bought pulsar because that's what we dreamed of. If you're not sure what bike you like the most then simple take a day off and hit showrooms. Take test rides of all bikes back to back to make up your mind. That all being said it's always brainy to go with the heart.

                  .
Thanks alot for the detailed reply, much appreciated.

I have decided to wait for new pulsar range.

Even i wanted pulsar always, but you know i have read alot of complaints about it, really alot.

because of all that now i need someone who has positive experience with it to tell me GO FOR IT. :P

but seriously maintenence should not be a problem.

thats why had to keep hunk in option, it looks ok.

I have opened a seperate thread deciding between fzs pulsar ,hunk.

so far fz s is out of the option, because of pillion comfort requirement
and No its not a 60+ year old lady, yes gf and some family members like brothers , sister or sometimes unkle ,aunties.

I have got a good reply from someone who is experienced with pulsar and

is always helping on the forum i guess, So +1 for pulsar again.

Hunk - No takers yet on the thread.

                  Pulsar : the wait begins.

                  • i got my bike serviced today.it was 4th paid servc. Previous service was done a long 10 months ago. It's done 10998kms until now.
I put motul 5100 ester 4T this time it cost Rs.450/lit, it's SS, The shop owner told me that it lasts for 10k kms according to motul but he suggested i change it after 5k kms. If anybody else used it before how was ur experience? The oil which i replaced was a well-burnt motul 3000v, a natural one that cost 230 bucks a year ago.i used it for around 3500kms.
I also got an aerosol spray can of 500ml for 300 bucks. The make is Tibrocot, if i remember the name correctly, a mysore based company. Hope to use it for some 20 times before it empties. The SC Guy tells me to get the chain oiled once in a while in showroom (for free) and spray the aerosol on it.
Other charges include the general service labour charge, smug greasing charge and a gasket of 135, 60 and 2 bucks respectively.
Only got a problem, There's a rhythmic noise coming from front spocket. I guess It'll reduce after a run of couple kms.or is it a prob worth a query in the SC?

Does that noise come when you apply front brakes? And Motul 5100 is one of the best oil available there in the market. It should last 4000 kms.

                            • After my bike's servicing in last week when they fresh put oil in front suspension, now the suspension has became super soft. Within a week it happened to travel the whole range to bump ends on each other to create thuds twice on great bumps. Now I know it's not normal, so what's happening?

Did they put the same amount of oil as it was mentioned in the bill i.e. 320ml per leg. (In front of you?) IF not chances are that they have filled lesser oil than the required quantity. Happened with me when they filled only half the total quantity required in front shocks.

If the oil level in shocks is correct, then either your shock springs have gone bad or they have used lesser weight oil.
