@Eshan: Great to know that the bike problem has been resolved. Castrols are not bad, even they do come close to motuls but as I said earlier, getting of genuine pack is extremely rare. Until the time is right lets stay away from Castrol. You should switch permanently to motul 5100 semi-synthetic after 1500km. Because that 3100 mineral is good but dies before 200km.

Anyway I'm on motul 300v fully synthetic for more than 4000 kms. Mine is running fine. except the small acceleration punch has lost after the servicing. That normal for the bike after serviced at bajaj. It has always came back. After hard ripping bike is giving 45+ avg. I'll refill oil after 1000km or so.
Man how much you spend on liquids 300V is supposed 895 i guess and you change it ever 1000kms?? Freak man, thats like super costly and over budget, atleast for me.

Anyways this contest was held back in june i guess, answer some questions and win a castrol can power 1 racing.

45+ avg is simply superb, i wish i could get that!! my riding is hway daily, expect red lining speeds. Most of the times at night while going back iam so not in the mood of going at economy speeds. Also there are options though but red lining is smooth and quick.

Now the 3100 gold is present, lets see how it works, iam trying it for the first time.

      personal review please...

      in my case,
just came from s.c. went there to fix my kad...kad... sound coming from the cone set. then he said that i need to replace it after 10k kms. and now its already tight and cant tight it more.
thats true... there is a tight steering feel in my bike. actually this happened to notice after riding ma friends 220.fel 220 like CT100 and my 180 like an enfield...

cone set alone costs 375rs and fitting cost extra..

      its ok

180 why? because its better than 150 IMO.
Why Hunk? because of pillion comfort and better Mileage.
Hunk is in option because i've heard pulsar needs more service and spares replacement - I'm a college student so you know i think must avoid such things :P
        My requirements.
        1. Mileage doesnt matter.
        2. Budget 80k.
        3. Pillion comfortable.
        4. Less maintenence cost.
        5. 150 cc +.
        6. Reliablity to go on GOOD for some years (3 minimum).
reading this i know what you all are gonna say :P. Nopes no Honda Unicorn i dont like the style
        Just these 3.
        1. Hunk
        2. Pulsar 180
        3. yamaha Fz-s
I would have gone for Fzs but need comfy Pillion seating too thats why these two are preferred ,
asking this here because only pulsar users can let me know more about pulsars maintenence and experience.
your inputs are precious , please do reply to me, thanks.

Sorry for late reply, I missed your big post somehow.
        1. Here our P180s give us between 40-50 kpl. It depends on your riding and how good it is maintained. Hunk should give you a little better but it's not much to brag about. Fz gives considerably lower.
        3. About pillion comfort it has to be same on hunk and pulsar. Basically climbing and getting down is a hard part. Because on both bikes pillion seat is set very high and only 5'10'' + tall person are really comfortable with climbing on to pillion seat, other shorter people kinda have to jump for getting down. Moreover Hunk pillion seat is even higher than P180 so more are the difficulties with it. If you're looking at pillion as your GF who would hug you firmly then FZ isn't that bad. All three bikes are utterly terrible if your pillion is some 60+ years old lady.
        4. Again I think it's same with few exceptions. Both companies have bad authorized service centers. Certainly lower cc HH like splendor and passion are very reliable but except Karizma, I don't see any HH ~150cc have lasted more than a decade(ex ambition, ol' CBZ). In case of Bajaj, I think higher cc bikes like pulsars are more reliable than platinas and disco. Yamahas supposedly have better service center but it's little expensive there.
        5. You should look at power figure instead. The true competitor of Hunk is Discover 150. Both make 13 bhp and do 110 kph on a good day. P135 is a bit better and faster. Fz has very good low end and is the best city machine out there. But on highway I'll vouch for P150 as it has better middle range and higher end than fz. I haven't ridden Hunk but the way I see at the hunk rider's driving style, the handling on Hunk must be better than pulsars. P180 is in different league. The competitors of p180 are karizma, A180 etc,. All HH feels light and nimble whereas pulsars feel more rigid and rugged.
        6. Any of the above machines will do good for more than 5 years.

Many of us bought pulsar because that's what we dreamed of. If you're not sure what bike you like the most then simple take a day off and hit showrooms. Take test rides of all bikes back to back to make up your mind. That all being said it's always brainy to go with the heart.

I paid about 920. It is expensive as it is in nature a bit better, has double life than 5100 and comes with double dose of cleansing agent called ester, which do however, sometimes eats up gaskets and sealing and make some engines leaky. As they say, for P180 if one wants to use 300v then he better use it before ODO clocks 5K km or it's too late. On pulsar180 both are utterly the same. Don't ask me how I could afford that oil. Because next time it's the 5100 I'm filling back in.

The service center guy also told me change that for the same reason. they did charge me for that but didn't even replace a thing. I was goofed be them as I paid for nothing. Funny people SC guys are. Show your problem to the local mechanic and ask him to resolve it without replacing anything. I'll upload a vid tonight. watch it.

That's it, the final and the SOLE reason behind my 180. Many people ask me that A180, ZMA were better choices, the only answer I have to them is I love to do what my HEART says because it is Heart that helps keep a loooong with Love relation with anything living or non-living.

Now he seems to have changed that signature with something that unknowingly came to his mind and made a lot of sense.

Yep, had very few options, just tried to minimize the impact through engine braking but that dog came directly under the wheel and there was very little in my hands than.

Was returning from a overnight ride to lonavala, at Wakad towards city.

Oh DAMN! Prayer for your speedy recovery. Have been in bike accidents 5 times out of which one time it was PIG, two times it was DOG and 2 times some idiots riding bikes. I could'nt recover mentally from the 1 PIG and 2 dog accidents, now everytime I see dog my speed goes from whatever to almost 20-30 kmph. It has almost become my reflex action to brake anytime I see any creature beside the road.

Was wearing alpinestars riding jacket, probiker gloves, fox's bionics and hard soled lotto shoes i use for rides. All that stuff helped a lot. <Fell on a road under construction with debris and gravel, rolled twice>

Just happy that it could have been a lot worse, specially after looking at the helmet.

-- Just a note to everyone to at least wear gloves/helmet and something full sleeves while riding. It looks smart and also saves you.
