Looks nice to me. I wish I could have that. Can you get ome 10-15 osf those?Originally posted by arjunb25 View Post
this is the new key ring made of full rubber which my dealer has made for all the PULSAR owners. How is it do post your comments.
I have replaced my headlights assembly free of charge by taking a warranty today now the lights are full brand new. My previous headlights were getting dust inside hence my service warranty guy replaced it on his own. They all know me since the dealer is a family friend.
Seriously!
Just changing piston kit will not addd to the performance you will need alot of other things (opppss I don't know them!). Which might cost you a bomb. Better switch the bike than switching the engine. Or if you're serious about this then post a new thread, you will get some real technical replies!Originally posted by rprathin View Posthey arjun could u plz tell me that can we convert pulsar 180 to 220 engine

I had looked at this option before but the problem is that right now i am living in a rented house on the 1st floor and i do not have the facility to connect a charger.Even if somehow i find an extension from the 1st floor, the wire will have to go right infront of the ground floor door to reach the bike.So i dont think that is going to work out. That is why i am opting for the coil-rewinding or something.Like i said i dont know much about it.So do guide me and also if there is any other way i am open to that too.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostGet yourself a 12V DC Transformer (I mean charger) made. Hook 2 another wires to battery terminals so that you can charge the battery without taking it out. And using this plug n play kit do an overnight charge just like you do your mobile before next day outing.
I could make something like this. I'm freaking good at electronics and electrical.
OR
Before starting your day with the bike let it idle at 4-5K RPM with choke pulled for at-least 2 mins. These days I take out the bike once in a week for same long bumper to bumper ride. But till date(after 2 years) I never needed to do a single discrete charging even water levels are constant. Couple of weeks ago I tested the voltage using multimeter. It showed 12.5V.Last edited by Ghost11; 11-27-2011, 09:00 PM.

Just one thing for u my friend. Sell your bike and go for 220. As making anychanges on your PULSAR will Not give u what actually the company gives. U can understand this. The real thing of bringing 220 on a 180 is possible but u have to make he'll of changes and u will land up spoiling your original bike.Originally posted by rprathin View Posthey arjun could u plz tell me that can we convert pulsar 180 to 220 engine

It comes from catalytic converter. no worries it's common.Originally posted by king_f_r View PostAnd how much will that cost?? Is it the tappet noise? I mean, its comin from the engine! I can hear that noise only when the engine becomes hot!

Unlikely , tick-tick noise comes from catalytic converter when it's cooling down (contracting) when the bike is parked after ride . Not while the engine is running .Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostP...It comes from catalytic converter. no worries it's common.
While engine is running ticking noise is usually from loose tappets ( or tappitts as mechanics call 'em
) and timing chain noise is kinda jingling like payal . Tappet noise usually occurs on hot engine .

Yesterday I filled air in rear suspension at SC. Now it has became a little softer than before and that's good.
There's a suspension workshop in my neighborhood, I asked about filling air etc,. in there. They said that we ought to fill oil in rear suspension instead air. I was little confused about their explanation.
@abhi: You said that rear suspension works on air + oil. What's the actual; procedure?
Anyway, couple of days back I opened the carb and cleaned everything including jets. I'll post about it detail soon.

It does take some time, since tappets have to be set on an totally cold engine , so after you ride down to the service center , you have to wait 2-3 hours ( or come back later ) until the engine cools off fully and they can do the adjustment . No damage to engine from little bit loose tappets(other than the noise), just make sure your oil is fresh and good and to correct level . In the meantime you can ride on it , people go on for years without noticing loose tappets , no problem .Originally posted by king_f_r View PostThanks man! Is it okay if i fix it after 2 3 weeks. Well what should be the minimum and maximum level and how do u check this?Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostYesterday I filled air in rear suspension at SC.
