I donno if its a common issue with all 180 UG4.
The problem in my bike is that there is oil seepage from the engine(right side) near the spark plug ....i have complained the same to the SC guys....almost from last 3-4 servicing i had the same complaint...but its still not fixed...after 500kms again there is seepage
A friend of mine also owns the same model and he is also facing the same prblm
Please tell me what cud be the issue, and resolution for it
    Thanks in advance.
Happened with me sometime back, oil was leaking through that oil-cap on the engine head on right hand side. I used M-seal and Aradalite (Gasket sealent available at auto parts shop) to seal the area and it has never occurred since then.

    • never ever felt this in my bike.but i am little confused to use 300 v
here motul3100 15w50,motul-7100 20w50, and, 300v are available.considering price, i think 300v and 310015w50 are value for money, 7100-750 rupees,300v 850 or so..then i will get that double ester fs oil in just 100 rupees price differance..but i am confused because of oil leaking issue as per users.

Because it's the best time to get big bucks for ug4s. Once new upgrade is in the market the resell value can drop further.

He always has the right answer.
There is going to be a 200cc liquid cooled next gen pulsar sometime late next year. From trusted Bajaj sources. Wait for it.

              • hmm
Today replaced 5000 km(and one year) old Motul 300v with 5100.
Got 850ml of old oil out. Looks like 150ml got smoked in a year.

It's very good. I've already used it before once. It's as good as expensive 300v. For pulsar both are same, the only difference is that 300v last twice as long as 5100. If you want it I can send it to you by speed post.

                    • I guess all the pulsar 180's are running fine these days.No new posts.

Talking about Motul 5100.It is an awesome oil with regards to keeping the engine temps at control and gears smooth but i did experience a little oil leak at the beginning, which is solved now.Bike has run close to 1800Kms on 5100.

                        • Soon I'll be upgrading light setup to 55/60W bulb. Preparing for now. Taking off the headlight glass is going to be a pain in somewhere . Is there any other way?

One need not to remove the headlight glass to fit a new bulb, you know it, Did'nt you?

Well I read everyone's taking that glass off to replace the bulb. You mean we can we can do it by opening the rubber housing behind it? What's the easiest way? I've never done this before.

                              • Hey guys,
During last service I gave my bike and also did the carburettor overhaul. Before that I was getting somewhat low mileage of ~40-42 but this time, its over my head, 30kmpl!

Reasons? Possible that mechanic has messed up the tuning during overhaul or something else?
