  • Greetings,

Completed 250 kms today.I'm getting 39 km/l. Is it ok for a new hunk? Will it increase day by day?
And the fuel gauge of my Hunk also shows almost full by putting just 7.5 ltrs. But after riding a few kms it comes down to normal position. Any problem with the gauge?

    Regards.

          Regards.

The bike has completed run-in by just 30 percent, if you take it for the ride the engine might will get heated up and you may have to take breaks regularly even at every 10kms or so, repeated stops & runs within few hours will affect engine as there will be repeated max. & min temperature on the engine parts, it's not ok and might have a bearing on long term, even during the ride you may get into some problems. Postpone the ride is what I suggest, take it for that ride after 1000kms & Oil change, still you may need decent breaks !! Take Care !

            • Hunk or CBZ

              Folks,
I have never quite underdtood why HH would market 2 very similar bikes. Is the CBZ the more sporty / racy version of Hunk? Which of the two has better suspension and handling? I like the CBZ, but can I add a heel-toe gear shifter? I hope I can replace the CBZ's grab rail with that of the Hunk's.
              Thanks

Probably b'cos CBZ sales numbers were quite low, obviously CBZ didn't appeal in a big way, they came up with Hunk with macho styling. Hero Honda didn't sack CBZ and it markets both bikes. There's is no difference in power/accln/fuel economy b/w the two bikes, however handling will be little different, I found CBZ corners better than Hunk and Hunk's rear suspension is a beauty (not that CBZ's is bad, it's quite adequate for most riding conditions).
FYI, Achiever is another 150cc model, it probably sells less than Skoda car numbers per month, but Hero Honda continues to produce them w/o sacking !! They have even upgraded it 3 times !! I like it !!
I have heard some comments on seating comfort b/w Hunk & CBZ, but I have rode both, but CBZ composure was better-personal opinion. So do test ride BOTH bikes before booking.

                > Heel-toe gear shifter can be fixed, not sure about grabs though.

                • HH should have made the hunk a 180cc bike atleast instead of another 150cc

handling and comfort is far better in cbz i feel...(not coz i own one :P ) ...take a test ride...locate a open road with turns...and u will feel the cornering stablity of cbz....even at much higher speed....plus the looks are far aggressive.... so i will say go 4r one... \m/

Can't tell you all what's wrong and not as I am still a new fly,i am just enjoying my first bike.Following the run-in procedures, not opening up more than 4K rpm. There are a few issues-some nuts and bolts loose, but i'm not worried as they will be covered in the first service.
Took her to the beach today.

Thanks Pal. Needed that advice. I'm going to change my oil 2moro. Is Gulf pride 4T Plus 10w30 good to go? Or should i use Gulf pride 4T 20w40?

                          Note: HH Oil not available.

How much AX3 costs per bottle of 900ml? the problem is HH 150cc bikes need 1200ml, but we get only 900ml bottles..have you got any idea about AX5 ?

@Cupid : Gulf pride is good, but if it is semi synthetic, it is not advisible during run-in, use any 10W30 SJ Mineral (check out for Indian oil's SERVO SUPERIOR) or any other brand.
