Bike is 2 yrs old & 17500km done.. Sound is like as if it is idiling at 2500 rpm or in choke.. Bt rpm meter shows 1500..

      oil is only 1700km old.. They told i can use it upto 3000km.. There is some loss in performance, bt not too much.. Only prblm is dat sound.. Doesnot depend on time, also im in kerala so not much prblm wit temp.. Always in 25-33 c..

        I guess its time to change ur oil,which oil u are currently having in ur bike ?? 10W30 ? or 20W40?

          OH! Same pinch me too from Kerala.

          Which oil are you using, HH??? If so, please change oil asap. HH Oil will start fouling at 1k.

          By loss in performance I mean top end. For me it was that my bike would only do 115Kmph where it should normally do 127Kmph.

          Anyways since you're not facing performance loss I'd rule out overheating. Now only thing remaining is OIL, try changing it to Gulf Pride 4T Plus.

            im using castrol 20w40.. Once i got it tuned frm servic guys bcoz of low mileage 35kmpl.. Nw im gettin 40..

              My 20W40 Gulf Pride 4T Plus says it lasts 10,000Kms. But since its my bike I only use it for 2000Kms. Same goes with HH 10W30 SVC Guys say it'll last 5,000Kms. But from experience it fouls when nearing 1000Kms.

              So I'd say its better to keep the oil not more than 2000Kms, even if the oil's from the best manufacturer.

              Here's a wild guess.
              You complained about low mileage, they leaned out you'r AFR, engine started getting hotter when it ran lean, thus increased sounds and minor loss in performance.

                    After a considerably long ride that involves ripping, without turning off you'r ride, put it on center stand, increase the idle rpm to 6~7K, In some bikes it goes only till 5k, then that's fine.

                    Now close the AFR needle i.e completely turn it clockwise till the needle's shut, but dont overtight it, just turn till it stops.

                    Now the RPM will come down to, say 3k(May be different, but dont mind.). And the RPM needle will start fluctuating.

                    Now slowly turn the AFR needle counter clockwise 1/4 Turn at a time, the RPM needle will start rising, now keep on turning till the RPM needle stops fluctuating and remains at one point constant.

                    Now bring you're idle RPM back to 1.5K.

                    DONE.

                        Back to oem 10w30 oil after consistent poor mileage from castrol power 1 15w40..will update on mileage improvement soon...gear shift was smooth on 15w40 but now feels bit harder.

                        • ^^^ Hehe... Its a common issue bro, anything above 10W30 would mess up the acceleration and city mileage. But if you're the touring breed, then anything above 10W30 is a must.

                              Its available in 900Ml too, but here for us its only available in 1L pack.

                              Refer you'r instruction manual. And check what the drain refil is.
                              In ZMA Its 900Ml if drained and 1.2L if crank case split.

                              If the drain refill is 900ML then use the 900ML Pack, if its above that then get the required quantity.

                              • hi, can any one confirm does hero honda hunk (no kick) has " Lean Angle Sensor / Bank angle sensor " ? if no then is there any way i can install it? as far i found karizma zmr has this feature -
