My cbz 2011,26k odo continuosly blowing 15Amp fuse...
Irregularsympots but blowing.
Hero mechanic unable to find an issue.
Please help what to do??

Hero Hunk self start problem while on gear.

Hi friends,
I have a hero hunk which is almost 1 year old. I have a wierd problem with my bike like what you say my bike behaves as if shes mad..!! SO let me be more specific.
My self start of my bike is working properly while by bike is in Neutral gear. It starts at the first attempt itself.. As you all know there is also a provision to start the bike in gear by holding the clutch. But the problem is when the bike in gear, the self start does not work at sometimes . I went to the hero service centre , they just removed the two wires near that clutch, clutch switch and tried the self and everything seemed fine. They told there is nothing wrong and sent me back.

But i still faced the problem.

2 days before was my 4th service. This time also I told them the problem. They told there is nothing wrong and sent me back. I still faced the problem. But this time the bike didn't start while it was on 1st gear and it would start at all other gears 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. The very next day i tried another technique. The bike wouldn't start at 1st gear so i holded the clutch , self start switch and shift the gear of my bike and the bike would start. To my surprise today the bike worked normally on all gears.

So what was the problem with my bike?? the service centre checked the clutch switch but they could not find anything fishy.

The only repair work done on my bike was I had a problem of gear slip. So they did something that's the service center. And its not completely ok but still ok. SO is my bike starting while in gear related to gear slip or adjustment?? Is it due to any other problem?? Pleas help guys...!!! coz i suffered 2-3 times while on traffic.

Got my hunk yesterday evening.1300kms on odo. Upshifting is smoother compared to downshifting.hope the issue will be cleared by the next 2-3 services

Help!!

The story goes like this .. Bought an used Hunk and the previous owner did first service in Nov2014 and the second service was to be done on Feb2015.As he was not using the bike he didnt care to take it for service on time.Now the problem is that they will skip the second service and do only the third which will void 5yrs warranty.When i bought it from his yesterday the odo reading was 1270kms.The second service had to be done either 100days from the last service or 3000-3500kms whichever is earlier.
On enquiring about this what i understood is that its not possible to do the 2nd srvc now and i will loose the warranty!!

still..just asking any way to get the services done without loosing the warranty??

Do the servicing regularly from now on and your warranty will be there. You are still in warranty period and by all means your warranty stilk remains.

I used to have the same problem.it mainly occurs due to lose clutch switch.i just tightened the clutch switch and sealed the switch cable outlet with feviquick so it won't get loose again,running fine ever since.What about the gear slip adjustment?did they remove the whole engine or their is another way?I would recommend you to get the gear slip adjustment checked again by some experienced mechanic(just a thought).Let us know what happens.

I don't think not doing the 2 nd free service will void warranty.i have a friend who skipped 2 free servicing on his glamour and his warranty is still intact.But do those paid services after the completion of free services as not doing those voids the warranty.i didn't do those as i was too much disgusted with the svc guys and my 5 years warranty is gone.I was informed about that after the warranty was void when i went to pay the insurance premium. Do ask abuot these At the service centre.

Thanks for your reply. Gear slip adjustment i believe they did not remove the engine fully. They did some another thing coz they returned me the bike after service the same day itself. Gear slip for me is not always. It occurs rarely only.

Hi guys,

Long time i haven't been updating here.

Was busy with exams and personal commitments in family.

Last month had a trip to my native with mom on the extreme.

Presently running great. Needing some works. After the service center has opened the engine the engine is consuming oil and feeling loss of compression. Also the main bearing is making sound.

So presently needing a overhaul.

List of works to be done:-

1. Tyres both front and rear needs to be changed.
2. Open the engine and check the piston, bore and rings.
3. Change the main bearing,
4. Change the rocker arms, making horrible rattling,
5. Also grease the rear suspension bearings and change front shock oil.

Will re-built the engine with my mechanic and i only. Will re-build to my satisfaction and make it better than new.

Else bike is running good. Mileage is little low owing to leaking compression.

Happened one month ago.




This weekend will go on a trip of 350 km with mom.

This weekend bike will clock 700 kms.
