Are You Talking About These Springs ?
First get the battery checked at a battery shop. It could be the starter switch or the relay (but since you say the relay clicks when you press the starter, i think the switch and relay might be alright, but you never know.. these simple things might be the cause). You can also check by shorting the two terminals of the relay using a screw driver, and if the motor spins up, then the relay might be kaput, but be careful when you do this cos a few sparks might fly when you short the relay.

Check battery >> if battery ok >> replace relay & switch >> still not working >> head to auto electrician or another mechanic.

The starter motor can be fixed by an auto electrician.. try to get the 'swiss' brand of carbon brush for the activa. Take the motor off the scooter and have it checked.
Replacement of the entire motor is expensive, i think it costs around 2k.

Yes those springs too (the small springs are cheap, less than 10rs a piece..replace them along with the clutch shoes). But the more important is the Big spring commonly refereed as torque spring.

unfortunately we cannot hear the sound without you posting a audio/video clip.
Why don't you simply ride another activa at the service center and see if it is similar to your scooter.. if its not then sit on their head for a proper explanation/solution.

today i picked up the castrol 10w30 gearless scoot oil. looks like the 20w40 castrol gearless scoot oil is no longer available at least in hyderabad. this oil is expensive compared to the regular oils, while most other oils are available for 20-30rs lesser and that too 1 litre. sadly even the shell outlets in hyderabad have shut down, their ax5 was a gem.
I'll use this 10w30 for the next couple of months since the weather is going to be relatively cooler and the scoot will see lesser use with frequent shorter rides of 2-5km, since i picked up the duke200. Should scout for the castrol gearless 20w40 or the shell ax5 20w40 and stock on it.

the past couple of weeks i've noticed a distinct whine from the front end when the speedo shows '45' .. above or beyond 45 there is no whine. and when i checked the front wheel (for possible bearing issue) there was no play. took it to the mech, he said it could be speedo related.
Anyway will be heading for the full service in a day or two.

Its time for service of my ACTIVA HET. Last time I was not satisfied with the service of service station and have decided to give it to the private mechanic and oil change has to be done this time so suggest me which oil would be BEST for it...??

Since people are asking about oil ,here's my take .
Vehicle-2008 activa.
Kms done-53,500kms
Condition-timely maintained, never ever a part was changed ,except the foot rest 4-5 Times .just oil changes .
Oils used .
1. Normal Honda svc oil .
Duration- from 0kms to 47000kms.
Review - no problem ,worked fine ,but no wow factor .
2. Castrol
Duration -47k kms -50k kms .
Review - initial 500kms were soo good .after that it worked as normal with conditions going a little below normal after 2400kms.
3. Motul jaso oil.
Duration -50000kms to - (expected 55000kms) .
Review .oh my God .just like my 200ns surprised me when I shifted from bajaj oil to 3100 gold ,same did it's lower sibling for gearless scooter, mind it that a 50000kms old activa with nothing changed (except air filter and oils at intervals )managed to beat a new activa with ease .
Acceleration has increased like 20-23% from previous exp.
Mileage is somewhat increased with figures now hovering around 39kmpl as compared to earlier 35 kmpl.
Refinement is a lil better ,but nothing groundbreaking as its already too much refined (Honda) .
My take .
Oil costs 230₹ .
Lasts about 4000kms (3500kms done, no sign of fatigue yet ,it lifts off still as a rocket ,and why m I talking about acceleration, as being a full time 200ns insane rider ,I still find the activa's "a" on motul admirable for a 55k old 100cc scoot. )
now it's motul always .!!

If you do regular oil changes then most oils are good. If you ask for a specific brand, then you can use the castrol gearless scoot oil, honda's own 10w30 (golden brown bottle) - these two are scooter specific oils in jaso mb -- also shell ax5 is a gem. I ve never use motul though. Always remember what is more important is regular oil change and the right quantity (800ml max.) do not overfill with 900ml/1litre no matter what the mech says.

Any EP-90 API GL-4 (or GL-5) Gear-Oil will do.
Had bought Castrol API GL-4 Gear-Oil @145/- for 500 ml from Auth-Dealer(some Reddy's) near Lalbagh(BLR). Used it up for on my Acess125, Dio(102cc) & misc applications.

Recently bought Motul AllGear 80w90 API GL-4 EP-90 Gear-Oil @ 220/- for 1 Ltr. The Motul-Dealer was also insisting on Yamaha recommended small bottle for one-time change. Perhaps you can get that bottle at Yamaha SVCs' over-the-counter-spares.

The remaining engine oil can also be used as gearoil.

Yep it can. But I have noticed that the specific gear oils (EP oils) hold up better for longer durations. It seems to be holding up its properties/characteristics much better than regular engine oil. I am sure that if you use the EP90 oils from reputed brands (don't ever use those local brands sold in pouches) , they can be kept for more than a year (in fact honda i think recommends a 2yr change interval on the gear oil) But again since its a minimal expense, I change it at every service.
I had my latest service last week, and the one before that was almost 7 months ago and the scoot had run around 3000km. There was another activa that had come for service and it had apparently engine oil used in the gear box. On draining the gear oil, I noticed that mine was still greenish is color (how fresh oil looks) while the other scooters' oil looked a little dark brownish/black. And I once used the local gear oil sold in pouches.. on draining it after 5 months, it appeared milky white!!
So what I have understood is that these little gear box's are not very fussy about the oil used as long as they are kept lubed. But again for a peace of mind (and those who want extended drain intervals) I would suggest just to get a EP90 gear oil from castrol, mak (bharat petroleum) etc.. I also use it to lube the chain on my rx and recently tried it on my duke.

Replaced Viscous Air-Filter of Dio(102cc-2011); bought one from SVC paying 250/- Old one was only little over 5,000 kms old. However, the city outskirts where our Dio ridden are very dusty. Had to change it for the better.

It looks like they have sprayed some oil on a normal paper filter.

Update : 15Nov2014

- Removed front wheel for inspection and lubing. Brake shoes were as good as new; thanks to my family members who seldom use it. This is what happens when you move from bicycle to scooter. Even my dad at native (with Access125) doesn't touch front brake lever.
- Rear brake shoes seem worn out looking at external settings. Planning to open the rear wheel tomorrow & check.
