Happy SZ-R owner (So far so good)
I ride my bike only on weekends, mostly in 10-15km radius of my house. Good enough grip and quite decent handling on roads in Mumbai rains. I wouldn't be quite lying if I said I am impressed.
Just a couple of concerns:
1. Due to rain water seepage it seems, the bike's clutch isn't working smoothly.
Is there something I can do about it? Maybe put some grease or something?
2. I am religiously following the user manual during the run-in period. RPM<4500, Speed<50kmph. Odometer = 180km. My bike has only undergone one servicing and the mileage is close to 35kmpl. I am hoping it will increase after 2nd & 3rd service. Am I right?

Its time for oil change !! and keep bike idling for minute or so before first ride in a day, will keep bike engine healthy.

Re: Happy SZ-R owner (So far so good)
Hi Guys,
I went for the 2nd Paid service to the service centre in Banaglore.
you would be amazed to know that those SVC people charged 2100 RS
for the Service. first of all the Bike doesnt give mileage then these people charge so much for servicing.
i have decided that from next time onwards i am not going to go there. its better to do outside from a good mechanic.
just want to know how much you guys have paid in ur city SVC for Paid service.

Even I am totally fed up with this bike low mileage, so I decided to do the service from my known mechanic. Total cost I paid is 800rs which in my view is too much costly, for simple change of air-filter, oil, carburetor cleaning, spark plug replaced..

Re: Happy SZ-R owner (So far so good)
You have to get free services done from SVC itself, otherwise it will void warranty. Also, had they added charges for chain cleaning/lubing and engine flushing ?? I know of dealers charging amounts close to 800-900rs for these useless things and fleecing customers.Originally posted by sudipt24 View PostHi Guys,

Moonlight the only thing covered in warranty is only engine.. and believe me they always played in that.. how many customer claim warrantyOriginally posted by MoonLight View PostYou have to get free services done from SVC itself, otherwise it will void warranty. Re: Happy SZ-R owner (So far so good)
I will upload the bill tomorrow. hopefully you guys can have a look and see if the same is done in your city's SVC.
but frankly speaking i was shocked to see Yamaha charging so much for the paid servicing. i think in 2k a car can be serviced.
as my bike is 2 yrs old now so all the free servicing are over and so is the Warranty, so now i wont go to the SVC again for servicing. only thing which i liked about the servicing is that they polished my bike neatly. the bike looks like a new one now. but 2k for this hurts a lot. it made a hole in my pocket
and made me to cut down my weekend booze budget.
anyways the SVC guy is telling that he had checked for the mileage (which i dont think those idiots do at all) and it will come above 40 now. i dont want a bike with a mileage of 60. 45-50 is more than enough for me. after all when you get a 150CC bike then forget about the Mileage of 60. you cant have both in the same machine. 100cc bike will give you a desired mileage but then it will be lot like a moped and less like a bike. so i choose this bike as i felt this is by far the best bike in 150cc bikes.
its a very smooth bike but then it drinks a lot of fuel to be so smooth.
