One of my friend is using ceat vertigo in his pulsar 150 from past 10000kms without any puncture which means ceat tyres are less puncture prone compared to others.

Re: Yamaha SZ-X / SZ-R
yeah but I want little wider tyre for better grip and ceat attracts me specially because of its good wet grip and off road ability as I like traveling to hilly regions. I am considering mrf meteor/mogrip as an option but I am more inclined towards ceat gripp xl.Originally posted by yes!rajib View Post

Re: Yamaha SZ-X / SZ-R
also i forget to mention one thing when i was on zapper s top speed was 125-30kmph.. now on gripp xl it is 110only.. so a lag of 15-20kmph will be occur due to fatter wider and bulky gripp xl... so i suppose in stock sz where top is 110only gripp may take it down to 95-100kmph... so think of it again...Originally posted by yes!rajib View Postgo for virtigo. thats tubeless... ceat is no doubt better than mrf. gripp xl is no doubt best tyre for indian road condition.. do u hav any idea of anti leak sealant liquid for tube tyres??? how far it works?? then it will be a jackpot for ours!! here it is avail in 300inr

That is a serious issue. I have to think again.Originally posted by yes!rajib View Postalso i forget to mention one thing when i was on zapper s top speed was 125-30kmph.. now on gripp xl it is 110only.. so a lag of 15-20kmph will be occur due to fatter wider and bulky gripp xl... so i suppose in stock sz where top is 110only gripp may take it down to 95-100kmph... so think of it again...

Re: Yamaha SZ-X / SZ-R
Lets discuss something to improve braking of sz. Front disc is very poor to stop this bike. Atlist brakes should hav been like fz16! Sadly yamaha dont hav direct fitments for bigger disc. So hav to think something diffrent... Any idea guys??Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostThat is a serious issue. I have to think again.

Re: Yamaha SZ-X / SZ-R
Even I felt the same, the Bybre doesnt give much of bite, not confidence boosting. New SZ's comes with Nissin brakes at front, are they good?Originally posted by yes!rajib View PostLets discuss something to improve braking of sz. Front disc is very poor to stop this bike. Re: Yamaha SZ-X / SZ-R
The steel braided brake hose deteriorates slowly. If the available ones fit our bike, you can try that if you haven't changed yours since long.Originally posted by yes!rajib View PostLets discuss something to improve braking of sz. But if you want to stop quicker then surely bigger discs are needed. And as of now I have no idea about that, if direct fitting of other yamaha bike brakes is out of the question.
P.S: If you dont mind changing disc rotors often, then you can opt for sintered pads.Last edited by curve_king; 03-20-2015, 05:43 PM.

Re: Yamaha SZ-X / SZ-R
P220 steel braided brake lines r direct fitment cost 1100inr... I m thinking of changing the front wheel with r15 v1 wheel and 300mm disc. All r fine bt the question is that will the spedo sensor fit in that wheel???Originally posted by curve_king View PostThe steel braided brake hose deteriorates slowly.
