Have you come across this problem.. i get this sound (mild squeaking) on and off when engine is warm n idle... you turn of the engine.. Again Hit Auto Start button.. you hear the additional squesking now... Now rev the engine once (4.5k rpm)... turn Off engine and again Hit Start.. now the soucn isn't there... this is what z hapopening since a week .. i dont have much cluefiguring out problems in four strokes.. just relying on you and SC guys..

^^ Nope. No clue what it could be. But i'm seeing that others gladiator owners are facing it too. It surely doesn't seem like a very serious problem. But i guess it surely will be irritating listening to a squeek...Comment

when i revv the engine to a little higher RPMs then i tend to hear some little squeaking noise.NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THATComment

Observe whether you get a squeaking sound when engine is warm n idle... do a couple of kms and re check... turn of the engine and On alternatively and check
Rev it slowly from `.5 k rpm to 5 rpm and leave idle n check for sound
I am trying to figure out if we both r facing the same kind of problem.

i am getting the sound after the engine is warm only but then I revv it a little higher then i get this sound & not when the engine is idle. Even the sound is too low and can be ignored. I used to hav a same kind of problem of yours before my 4th service but after the service the problem has got solved .NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THATComment

Guys Can any one share the complete info of how to do a chain cleaning n lubing by self and what all is needed (which spray ? ) etc .
How to check the engine oil level ?
Can this motor be revved beyond the 10,000 mark ? will it accept and return to normalcy without much hiccups ?? We are talking about a high flow airfilter too in this vechicle setup right ??Comment

To clean the chain... Use a chain cleaner spray first... Don use any type of oil as the bike has a o ring chain which has rubber components... After the chain cleaner wipe the chain clean with a rag... Then spray the chain lube evenly across the chain...Originally posted by sriram_r View Post
For the engine oil level simply open the the engine oil knob thats there( i don no what they call it)... There is a marker on that... If the oil is below the marker then there is less oil...
Can the motor be revved beyond 10,000 mark? I would say not in the present setup... I would not recommend trying either... It'll just strain the engine and might cause problems...
P.S: The company says that the new filter is better flowing... Well, I have put the foam type filter for the time being... N i perceive no difference... When i put a new paper type filter later ( maybe in a few months) ill check if there is a difference again...Comment

i want to make a small correction at the engine oil part. when you take out the engine oil dipstick (knob) clean it to properly with a dry waste cloth such that there is no engine oil sticked to it, then refit it & take it out to see the oil level to check if the oil is above or below the mark.Originally posted by prashanth lobo View Post

Was quite broke when i had to change the filter. The foam type costs around Rs.300 only and lasts much longer than the paper type. So thought ill change to foam for time being.
I pay around 600 rupees for agip synthetic oil...Comment

well my SC guys r charging me Rs.620 for it. One of my colleague was a dealer in engine oil & sales agip also. So he told me that he can get me the agip fully synthetic oil at arnd Rs.450-500Originally posted by prashanth lobo View Post

^^^ Thats a very good price man. I'm sure you can get a bulk order if your friend is ready to sell at that price ( i mean a good number of xbhpians would want the oil at that price). If no bulk orders atleast i would like a can at that price
