  • @ sriram_r : The tail piece fiber can be tightened after you remove the seat, there's a screw that need to be removed and then put back properly. Make sure the locks on the fiber are not broken.

    • ^^ +1 to what arun said... Happened to me too... Bus nudged me from behind and the tail piece start shaking... It still does not fit perfectly after that..

Talking about the seat... I hate removing the seat on the gladi... Such a long procedure...

      • Thanks friends or your prompt replies.... i ll try to see if i get it fixed tomorrow..

@Prashanth, How long have you been going along with this? does the tail piece vibrate when you speed up?? Or shall we just ignore it..

I feel the fiber area with the hole securing the screw and washer should have given up and cracked in order to show this kind of a loose behavior??

        • @sriram: Its been more than a year... It does not fit perfectly well like i have seen on other gladi's... But it does not vibrate either so its fine... Just tighten the screw... It should be fine...

          • OK guys thanks for all the patient replies..

am yet to visit SC guys for the above discussion, right now i have hit 900 kms plus and will soon be touching 1000 plus on the odometer.. as per the saying the first 1000 is a run in period and the engine should not be taken beyond the 60 kph mark till 1000 and kept around 50 kph mark max till first 500 kms etc.. all was maintained as per saying..

Now when the odometer hit 1000 does it mean it s fully ready to be ridden in higher rpm's in speeds above 60 kph??

What helmets do you use.? which helmet do you recommend?

How does our gladi perform in rains?
            1. Has anyone ridden it during heavy downpours??
            2. when riding in water logged areas does it struggle to breath and shuts off??
            3. what about road grip?
            4. How does the disc perform in rains?
            5. WHAT ABOUT NIGHT Visibility during rains ?

            • @sriram: I would not recommend hitting higher rpm's immediately... Rather, slowly increase rpm's as the kilometers go by... First take it to 70 max for maybe 100kms, then 80 and so on... Then you can start revving your bike more...

This is just the way i would do it... People follow different methods...

About helmets, I use a LS2 Dragon full face helmet... I would recommend a good full face helmet with ISI, ECE or DOT certification... I would not recommend going for open face or modular helmets...

              Jus saw your edit:

              1. I have used it during heavy downpours. Heavy downpours is actually not a problem on bikes. Slight drizzles are. There is no problem riding in the rains.
              2. I had problem initially but it was a one off problem. The pipe that lets out air from the carb used to get clogged and the bike used to shut off. After removing that pipe there are no such problems. It will go through easily.
              3. Road grip is fine with the MRF tyres.
              4. Disc performs well. you jus have to be soft on the right lever
              5. visibility is not great. have to be careful

                • ^^^ No its not an Indian Company... As long as your Vega has not fallen from above waist high you can use it...

The one in the picture is my old helmet. Its a MPA-AGV. Its available for around Rs.1800 to Rs.2400... My present helmet is LS2 make and model is dragon. There are many new better looking LS2's now. Check out the Helmet thread in universal threads. You'll find a few there. N yes you'll have to shell out 3000 and more for LS2 helmets. If you interested in buying now also look out for Cross helmets.

Which Vega helmet are you using?? Both the MPA- AGV and the LS2 are heavier than my other helmet(Viva) which i got for 900 bucks. This is because of more padding etc.

In case you are wondering how the LS2 dragon looks here is a pic

                          • Friends?

Is there a specific method plus some tools required to lubricate the chain assembly.. mine is getting rusted due to different climates here in chennai and when asked SC guys they claim you better give it to us for getting it done instead of doing it yourself which may result in wastage of the lube liquid since it needs some expertise to be done and cannot be done by a layman like me, i searched the you tube but in vain...
