  • I already have an WD-40 with me for my audio eqpt's and also when discussed with my SC manager, he suggested to go for a spray called "Wurtz", anyways not sure about it..

@prashanth: The two types about chain sprays you were mentioning such as chain lube and chain cleaning sprays, Were you mentioning about one single product doing both the jobs or they are two different items.. kindly confirm it for me

Does Gladiator have O-Ring chains? If yes then stay from WD-40, it will harden the rubber O-rings. Diesel/Kerosene works well for cleaning the chain.

Yup... Gladiator has the O ring chain. Thanks for confirming that we shouldn use WD-40 on the chains... I was getting mixed reviews online...

Can you clear something out for me... Don't diesel n stuff also harden the rubber?? I mean when i was at the PBK.. I thought i felt that somebody said not to use petroleum products on the chain... Anyways if you have been doing it, then i trust it wont do no harm

Follow Praful's method... He does a lot of his servicing himself

good cornering grip, and straightline braking is in mind..
I would say stick to M45... Or maybe change to the Zapper C...

Diesel and Kerosese are fairly reactive too, but lesser than WD-40 or petrol. As long as you are lubing the chain after cleaning with Diesel/Kerosene there would be no problem.

            • Hey Prashanth,

Multiple reviews rolling over, your review reply went unnoticed man, thanks a lot for sharing that valuable links of Motul.. Shall i go ahead and order from there ?

So you have those magic spray's and are you already using them ?

Sometime ago you were saying you have done some 22k odd kms and that you are looking for a overhaul/change of your sprocket, do update us on that..
              Thanks in advance..

I'm not sure if you can order them. Just check. Otherwise they'll be available at a good bike spares dealer shop. Praful said you can use Diesel/Kerosene as long as you immediately use chain spray after that. That seems like a better option than spending Rs.400 on the chain cleaner.
I don't have the spray with me. I go to Castrol Bike Zone or SVC usually and get it done. Been wanting to buy one though...
N i haven been riding much these days. I am usually stuck at home with baby sitting duty... I'll let you know when i get the sprocket changed.

                • Thanks Prashanth,

I have'nt done a chain cleaning yet as our expert said so..anways planning to look at the videos carefully, get hold of those cans and the required gear and then start very slowly...

I have found this question asked by many of our fellow bike riders with new bikes

                  1. "The Bike starts to Vibrate above 60kph and became stable above 80kph", what should this behavior feel like? its the wobbling of the vehicle with center as a reference point, or it may be due to engine causing some minute shock waves due to high speed running? or what is it? Does a Gladiator suffer from a vibration problem??

                  2. Does the gladiator have a rev limiter, read from baby pulsar review that there is one in it at 10.5k rpm..?

Thanks in advance for your replies

                    • It looks like a perfect fit and it in a way suits the gladi..

Will there not be a concern during parking in parking lots and in traffic signals??

What is the main advantage of a napolean mirror compared to a conventional RV mirror

I don't think is suffers from vibrations. I haven't felt any vibrations in that range. I guess Madhav had mentioned about a axis balancer... Cuts out a lot of vibes from the engine to the rider...

On the rpm meter it shows 9.5k prm... surely it cuts off somewhere around there, max 10k rpm...

Thanks in advance for your replies

IMO its bit over sized for gladi...while parking they can be folded in so not a problem...advantage in the city riding is none, but on highways help u have a better view on the road behing.

Yes they are much better than the stock RVM's on the highway...

dude it would surely help you in the blind spots & the rear view would be excellent but to be honest with you i didnt like the looks of the mirrors (sorry if being rude).

                            • Metallic ringing at 5000rpm when bike in motion

I am noticing a metallic ringing/whirring noise from the bike at exactly 5000rpm, and only when it is moving. Not when it is standing still and I am revving the engine. The noise appears sharply as the rpm near 5K and drops off sharply too - almost as if it is something is resonating.

Can somebody point out anything to check here?

Bike has done 2375 KM and gone through 3 regular services.
