But next time I turn on bike, it'll be 4 bars. or 5 bars.

Near reserve it goes crazy, 2 bar to blinking in a second. And next time you start the bike, it's 2 bars again.
Will SVC guys fix it, If I Complaint.
guys its not an issue...as such........u see frm wat i gathered here in xbhp....its becoz the sensor is located on the left side of tank......same is the case when u park ur bike on side stand.....it will show u more readings.....its not incorrect ....also not perfect too.... there will be -+5% to -+ 7% difference in readings....if the reading are having huge difference still u can take to svc and get it replace if under warranty. correct me if wrng guys...!!

Don't worry it can be fixed
There is a sensor under the petrol tank clean it from service station
There will be some thing like sulphur (I don't know actual what it is but it is yello)

        • I went to service my bike and told them this time I will bring semi synthetic oil and do not change the oil till I come.
Suddenly they said do not change to semi synthetic if you are not long distance rider
The oil will ally to engine if you idle your bike for a week
          Is that true ?
I came home without service the bike :-(
Actually I am not a long distance rider or hard rider
But I want to be my bike last longer that's why I tried to move to this oil

I already checked with the asc, they themselves don't know how to fix it. That guy said I need to live with it

Anyone here got it fixed? Or some ideas to fix it.

That's pure BS. Go to the svc again and insist changing to SS oil, never mind what they say

bhai bike chalate chlalate idea ho jaega kab tanki khaali hone waali hai. i assume that yamaha must have received thousands of e-mails regarding this problem, but no rider or even a Yamaha engineer has arrived to a solution till date,so the best solution is to be friends with the faulty fuel-o-meter.

                • Hmm..But how does other bikes get it right and Yamaha can't.
It's an expensive 150cc bike, and design flaws like this should not be expected

did u ever try using choke while re-starting ur bike???.....

i personally feel ur bike may b running lean. but still dont rely completly on it........(gurus .....please confirm if correct )

given below are usual symptoms of rich and lean AFR....

courtesy - Carburetor Problems - How to Diagnose Carburetor ProblemsThree Carburetor Problems

                    1) Rich Mixture means the carburetor is delivering too much gasoline. Typical symptoms of a rich mixture are:
                    • Poor fuel economy
                    • Sluggish acceleration
                    • Choke not needed from cold starts
                    • Sooty or black spark plugs
                    • Sooty or black muffler end pipes
                    • Strong smell of gasoline when machine is at idle
                    • Uneven running (will often slow from regular idle rpm's and stop)
                    • Poor mileage

                    2) Lean Mixtures means the carburetor is delivering too much air. Typical symptoms of a lean mixture are:
                    • Backfires as the throttle is closed (primarily during coast-downs)
                    • Lurching acceleration
                    • White or light grey spark plugs
                    • Requires excessive amounts of choke to run/start
                    • White or light grey muffler end pipes
                    • Bluing (on chrome systems) of the exhaust header down-pipes
                    • High mileage

                    3) Incorrect Adjustment applies to carburetors that have incorrect adjustment of the air/fuel screw and the balance between two or more carburetors - where fitted. Incorrect adjustment can produce any of the previously noted symptoms. On multi-cylinder machines, with separate carburetors for each cylinder, the following symptoms are typical of an adjustment problem:
                    • Poor overall performance
                    • Rattling sounds from the clutch
                    • Engine tends to stall easily
                    • Erratic acceleration
                    • Poor fuel economy
                    • Misfires and/or backfires

also check the engine oil level....some bikes (even mine :P) have the habbit of drinking oil....... if the oil level is too low then top it up with similar grade....
thanks for the reply bro. I just got my servicing done and took the delivery in the evening. There was not starting trouble when i left the SVC. While driving, the bike suddenly stalled in the middle of the road and refused to start. After giving self for sometime the bike started and again after 1km the bike stalled and refused to start this time. The next day morning the bike started without any issues and was running fine till evening, while driving in the night, it stalled once again, but it started again without any issue. The oil was changed and filled with Yamalube 20w-40. Shouldnt the SVC guy check the spark plug condition and carburetor setting when the servicing is done??

The throttle response of my bike is real bad, i thought this must be with all FZ-S. There is lag when i twist the throttle, a 100cc scooter zooms past me easily .

I fill my tank from one particular gas station to avoid any fuel adulteration issues.

Will visit the SVC and try sorting out the problem.
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

buddy...ur conditions closely resemble Rich AFR ..... u should be experienceing low mileage......are u???

i strongly suggest to check ur spark plug condition......it will really give u an idea

also where do u go for servicing ur bike........??

                      • Guys,

I went to Yamaha SC to buy the chain lube and was told that they only do it if we get the bike. But they dont sell the chain spray.
I went to pearl Yamaha Kukatpally, Hyderabad.

can anyone tell if if was given the right information ?
I find it hard to understand the reason why they cant sell the whole spray to someone who wants to buy it. Instead of going to they every 500kms.

You can buy it from SVC, some SVC's say they cant sell it cause it will force you to do it at service, which creates more profit for them.

Which chain lube are they using? Here the SVC guys use Motul chain spray.
If its Motul maybe you can buy it outside??

For this cost, i guess investing on the motul chain lube and cleaner would have been a better option. Is this a branded one ?
