I wish the silver side panels were black. It would made it really close to the yellow FZ1 available internationally. Also how about an FZ6 White with Red Stripe instead of the usual Black one, Black alloys with Red Pinstripes around them ...(rubbing both hands gleefully)....i'm in the FZ wonderland.Originally posted by chetanpulsar View Post>-----R One Fly----->>

whoah...127 on the FZ..!! thats pretty fast mann...!!Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostIt was 127kmph if I remember correctly.... but as Sumit said... at 105-110kmph.. the RTR pulls around 3 bikes ahead... but post 120kmph... the distance gets constant and both bikes dont go apart or come near... thats it.
But pickup wise I guess the low end grunt of the FZ really works. RTR is a bit low on pickup but has a better mid-range punch.

And, i was rite at some guessing work...like i said earlier...FZ's have excellent low end push but some how losses on the top end part...!!
All yellow panels...!!Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostThe yellow should look awesome... and has to come at a premium cost.. atleast for a month or so... later it should be available at the same cost. Yellow color seems like a good option for black FZ owners who intend to change the panels later.
a yellow FZ(a must see
)...
Well, reagarding the acceleration part that i have already witnessed...when sumit's fz was up with Motor's 200(rider shiva)...!! till some time the FZ was at par with the 200 but then the 200 had the FZ..!!Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostNo Man! To our surprise, the FZ was pretty neat in acceleration...
It was on par with RTR and it was a very close call till 95~100, after 100 the RTR just kept adding speed and the FZ couldnt keep up.
The end speed was RTR clocked 134 on speedo and FZ 124, but there was a huge gap between the bikes!
Hope Chetan remembers..
This is for sure...!! All 150's(excepting the R15 and RTR) are no match for the FZ..!!Originally posted by pranay View Postwell, thats surprising!
i knew the FZ was fast, but not that fast. That means the FZ kicks other 150s butts, barring the R15 of course. RTR clocks a very high top speed but it has greater error around the top. True would have been anywhere from 120 to 125. Maybe around 125.
But in our current scenario we dont have good 150's in the market...just 3 Unicorn, Stunner and the P150...which can't be said racing/sports bike...!!

Brother, I thought Stunner was a 125. Anyways, I agree, we don't have good 150s.Originally posted by inder.cool View Post......

126km/hr!!!Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostJust talked to Sumit... he said his FZ did a 126kmph... and Shiva on Satyen's RTR did 131kmph. At 105kmph... the RTR started pulling forward and making a distance of 2 bikes... which remained constand after 115kmph. The distance was 2 bikes at top end.
I am impressed... Never expected the FZ to hit that mark. Maybe I should reconsider my decision to sell of my P180 V3 and get the mean FZ.
Anyways thanks for the figures fellow bikers !

Just yesterday, I rode my colleague's FZ-16 for around 6 km. The 0-60 pull is really good. The bike was smooth and vibration-free. As the bike is still runnning-in did not take to high speeds. I touched 82 on speedo at some point and the bike feels smooth and vibration free. The 0-80 timing is also good. As the suspesion is a bit soft, it is soaking the potholes at low speeds very good. The breaking is really excellent, with those fat tyres and 42mm forks. Could not test cornering, but felt that if the bike had a bit slimmer tyres, it would handle much better. I could litterly feel the width of the tyre while taking turns.
Good it hear that FZ clocked 127 kmph. The OD mag quoted a top speed (true speed) of around 110 kmph (did not remember exactly, but around this figure only).
The OD's shoot-out of 150cc rivals is almost pretty much accurate.

i would recommend you don't do that. Because you know that you are actually downgrading on performance front.Originally posted by i-uze View Post126km/hr!!!

The handling is indeed very good... our recent ride to Lonavala (amby valley) which consistes of ghats section where the FZ ruled bigtime, beating P200/P220. I dont know if its the rider or the bike... but the combination beat almost all. According to the rider (Sumit), he was doing speeds of 90+kmph in the corners and he pointed out saying that the bike does not feel like its leaving the line, nor does it feel overspeeding in mid-corner, he was extremely confident while cornering. He also added saying that he did not use the brakes much.... as compared to the brake lights he saw of the bikes infront of him.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostJust yesterday, I rode my colleague's FZ-16 for around 6 km. Just a thing to point out... Sumit ( who rides a FZ and did 127kmph) used to ride a P180 v1 (since oct '03)... and shifted to FZ a month back.. and hes extremely satisfied with the bike and the performance it delivers... he says- its definately better than his old bike.Originally posted by pranay View Posti would recommend you don't do that. You are right, the bike handles very well. I just tried to say, it would handle more better if it had a bit slimmer tires, such as 120.Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostThe handling is indeed very good... our recent ride to Lonavala (amby valley) which consistes of ghats section where the FZ ruled bigtime, beating P200/P220. Hmm... I think otherwise, the handling might not get better... I guess its coz of the fat tyres that the bike handles nicely and feels very much planted even at high speeds on corners.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostYou are right, the bike handles very well. Then, do you think R-15 with a fatter tire would handle better as it would now with the skinny tire?Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostHmm...
