Teflon coating is nothing but another marketing gimmick. You would be wasting a lot of money for no reason. The only genuine brand is the 3M Paint Protection Film (PPF), which i doubt anyone is Kolkata has it. Rather use polish recommended by Kinshuk.arya a lot of times on this thread.

      Cheers

You get a 250ml bottle for ~Rs600 which is enough for the rear tire fill up.

Ma rear tire had been repaired with 6 punctures wen i put slime, so u can def go ahead n fill it.
Thanks a lot for that information

both are the same just for some visual additions such a front visor and color choices for FZ-S.
I dont think there are any differences between FZ-16 and FZ-S on the fuel consumption front!!

If your into the solid colors such as Red or Black then get the FZ-16 and if you wants more graphical styling and color choices get the FZ-S !!
the visor isn't a deciding factor and can be added or removed later!!

fuel efficient.. Humm.. I think both are equally fuel inefficient.. :-)
If you are deciding on the fz series from yamaha. Please keep in mind that they were never conceptualised keeping fuel efficiency in mind. These are stylish, safe machines with decent power..
With safe I mean you will never skid... i.e you will always ram the threat head on!!

Actually, the new fz/fzs is slightly different than the pre-2011 models. The old ones had the engines made in malaysia and are better. The new fz/fzs has a smaller engine head. Near negligible drop in bhp (something like 0.4).
And slightly better FE. And the side panels are some sort of fiber based material.

                  Cheers

Are there ready made seats such as these available??

Hmm,yamaha should have got something like this, as stock itself!!
The cover has been replaced with a newer one..
18.96245,72.81984 is the location of the shop where i got it done..
there is an additional spong added to give shape and height..
no readymade seats available in India.. its very disappointing..
There are so many mods available in Singapore, Indonesia and Colombia (cosmetic and performance) for FZ and they make me go crazy too ..

Crap. Where did you get this info???

Even the export versions are Made in India.

New FZ comes with new carb, which is attributing to the loss in power and mileage hike. Even old FZ's had ABS plastic panels (fiber).

the new FZ series was introduced in MAY 2011 and has be tuned for better efficiency with slight decrease in bhp.
also added was new colors in FZ-S and few color changes to panels in the FZ-16.
there was also a kick starter added with increase in prices.
the side panels have been fiber cast since FZ came to India!!

Anyway, this doesn't matter as the OP is planning to buy a new bike!!

The very first fz release was outside India. According to the svc guy and another mechanic.
And the side panels are a different shade, darker. I know both are fibre cast, but if you tap both with your knuckles, they sound and feel different. Or maybe thats just me
And yeah, forgot, added kick starter too.

Forget the blah blah of the SVC guys. Any reliable source?? They have been saying all these kinda craps for years.

It was launched around same time in India and abroad. All FZ's comes with the same built-to-size MRF tyre from the beginning (except the later launched Byson (shod with 120 instead of 140)), which itself proves the origin.

Even people from outside India in this forum acknowledged the Made in India, inferior quality of some parts and rusting.

Yamaha changed many parts for cost cutting, even the speedo, panels etc, are new, comparatively cheaper stuff.

The very first page of the Spanish "Workshop manual of FZ"
