Just had a discussion with the guy mentioned in the above link. Didn't sound promising. Its for around 6K but he says its allowed on road. Whereas the Daytona as per Yamaha is not allowed on roads. It is designed only for race tracks.Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Post

Take your bike to various speeds....I mean take it till 80KMPH keep it there for 2 mins bring it back to 60.Originally posted by FZmAn!ac View PostGuys i hav completed 600 kms with my bike today... i always did stick to the 4.5k rpm rule till now.. Expose your engine to various RPM's this will help when you rev your bike easily above 4.5K after your 1st service.

After 500 Kms you can take it upto 6K RPM (as mentioned in the manual). Which will be 80KMPH in Top Gear.
I discussed it with Prakash (the one mentioned). As per him it is legal. But I guess its not. Make sure you talk to SVC guys before getting anything installed. Because when I last enquired about the Daytona Kit with the SVC guys they told me that its strictly for tracks. It will be illegal if you ride it on normal roads.Originally posted by Helios View Posthow come it is allowed on the road??

My service guy at the probiking yamaha SVC told me the opposite..!! Since my running is low (800kms so far and a month to go for 2nd service), he said to keep my bike below 50 until 3rd service which i assume in "normal" riding should be around 1500kms and open up only afterwards..!!Originally posted by RAK View PostAfter 500 Kms you can take it upto 6K RPM (as mentioned in the manual).
