Head gaskets leaks are common on most bikes, some bikes don't leak a bit, and some do, unfortunately irrespective of CD 100 to CBR 1000RR. Usually factory sealed bikes won't leak that easily. When the cover is opened by local mechanics and the bolts and nuts not torqued properly or the gasket not seated properly, then you'll have leakage issues. The CBR 250 doesn't leak that easily from head or cylinder unless it's taken a good amount of abuse and/or dealt with incompetent mechanics or in case of bad luck a gasket failure itself. Nevertheless, now that you've replaced it, you can be rest assured about it for the foreseeable future without any trouble.
Hi Guys, need your input.I am thinking of put 150/70 tyre on my rear, is it possible? Any affects on the braking/abs? Also I wanted to fit extra lights as the new white led light doesn't help much in the night on highways..
Yes. Altering the tire size can in fact alter the ABS computer's ability to precisely manage the wheel rotation which it uses the calculate to operate the ABS. In some cases too early or in some cases way late, it's the latter that happens the most. In some cases, the ABS light will start blinking notifying the user there is an error in the system, in the case of upsized tire. You need not worry, if it's a non-ABS.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Thanks. Can the service centre guys correct the mapping for new tyre ?
Hello everyone, does anyone have any idea about rear view mirror set which has foldable mechanism just like the ones on R15 v3 and RC200? I am really frustrated with the stock mirror set. Everytime I park beside a wall, the left hand side mirror gets scraped.

You can probably find some third party mirrors but there are people who swapped stock ones with that from old Karizma bike, it seems it is a direct fit but visibility is not that good. If the problem is just with scratches alone I would recommend getting a simple wrap or sticker job to cover that part, if the wrap/sticker will gets scratched you can remove it and put a new one and probably would cost 50-100 bucks at max.

I have an 2013 cbr 250r after my ladakh ride last year my bike started to bog down at sudden throttle so i recently serviced it myself in which i changed my engine oil filter, air filter, sparkplug and cleaned my throttle body with carb cleaner spray. But after fitting all the things together the bike was still bogging down at sudden throttle and at uphill climb also the engine started loosing power so i checked online and saw many videos with same symptoms and then i got to know that may be my fuel filter had clogged. I never considered changing that because i only had 36000 and saw an fellow xbhpian changing it at 80000kms and he said it could have lasted 20000 more after opening the fuel filter but in my case the fuel filter was clogged at 36k only and after changing it my motorcycle has no hesitation at sudden throttle. So always change your fuel filter if you got similar symptoms like my motorcycle had or it could harm your fuel pump which is of 6000rs and fuel filter costs only 172 rs with new hoses. My CBR's Fuel Injector has gone bad. tries to clean and test on the testing machine. spray pattern has gone for a toss. instead of spray, fuel is kind of dripping.

so, i have to change it. whats the cost?
Quoting from memory, it's Rs. 6000~ odd IIRC. Would recommend you to give a call to your nearest SVC so that they can guide you.

Hi guys, I recently noticed two issues with my CBR.
1) Rear brake makes a "tick" sound when ever I press the rear brake lever. Its less audible if I use helmet. it occurs immediately when apply pressure on brake lever and once it happened, sound wont come again till the time I release the brake. But the sound comes when i apply brake next time. Also it may not happen everytime I apply brake. I am sure it happens from the rear area (mostly from brake caliper assembly side). I checked caliper assembly and couldn't find any loose parts and brake pad has life left on it. it is an ABS model.
2) Now a days I hear back fire when I decelerate. Not loud noise. But mild and continuous popping sound. Never noticed this before. my bike is 4 year old and with 34K odo.
Did you guys face/hear of these issues on CBR? I couldn't find similar instances in this thread when I searched. Any suggestions?
