  • Well, I know I am getting over anxious over what relatively is nothing.[Sorry Ron, in advance but the anxiety is uncontrollable] Of late I have noticed my bike's front disc plate has developed a lot of concentric marks, which are a bit less prominent on other bikes[or maybe not].Also, the the texture of disc has become a bit rough owing to these marks. Please dont say its a prob! Does anybody's bike show such rings?

            • Hey guys,

I drive at around 5.5-6.6k rmp for 3,4,5 and 6 gears. And @5k rmp for 1st and 2nd gear. Lately i have noticed, that the bike between 4-6k rmp makes a lot of sound. Am pretty sure its not just in my head. Anyone can help me out on this or can have a look @ my ride. I live in west Delhi.

Do we have a club or something here in delhi that plans long rides on their baby r1 or weekend get aways or something...?

Not sure about a dedicated R15 club in Delhi but I know of the Delhi xbhp dhaba. Riders meet almost every Sunday for small rides around town. Again, not sure of NCR members here, but you can always PM Prateek2210 for details.

                  • Couple of more night shots of Stryker. BTW, I'm still a beginner in clicking night pictures of the bike.

Will be finding another spot soon to click pictures, and I need a tripod too.

discs heat up a bit due to friction. Physics bro

There will be some scoring marks on the discs, thats ok.

When applied, the brakes do the stopping by converting the (kinetic) energy of the moving bike into heat (from friction).
So yes they can get hot...very hot. Never touch the discs after riding.

                          • Guys, has anyone of you considered swapping the front end (the whole steering assembly) with that of the R125. I have been pondering over this idea for quite sometime now and I have even compared the front fork specs of both the bikes (Service Manual), it seems to be a direct fit but there will be noticeable difference on the handling part (because of the different spring rates). The positive side of this mod will be 100/80-17 or 110/70-17 tyre, Brembo Calipers, and a 292mm Disc (which can be swapped for a Galfer wavy rotor).
Also, the rear swingarm is a complete rip-off from the R125 so, I was wondering whether we could swap the rear rim of an R15 with that of an R125; the only thing different is the brake caliper assembly.
Please post your ideas on the same. Thank you

                            • Also check out this guys R125: Yamaha YZF R125 Forum and Owners Club: Friendly bike community for all.
This guy is running a rear Ohlins suspension which we R15 V2 owners can consider changing to (since both the bikes have similar suspension fitting AFAIK, please correct me if I am wrong) for better adjustablity suiting your riding style.
