    My R15 v2's (2016 model 1300km odo ) RPM needle always move little up & down when idle never be constant.. any relation to improper fuel mixture ?
    one more query before first service it gave me about 46-48 km per litre.. but after 1st service milage droped down to 30-32 i never redlined till now but 7000-8000 maximum..

      My bike is showing error code 42 when turning the ignition on, also engine oil warning light stays on while riding.. now I believe that speed sensor has gone kaput but I have already changed it once around 5000kms back.. could it be fixed or it needs to be replaced..??

            Trace the wire and disconnect it from the wiring harness spray wd40 and reconnect.
            If this doesn't solve then you have to change the sensor

              Clogged air filter could be the reason.
              Other reason could be improperly tightened aur box cover.
              Do you get a KnN type sound when you suddenly twist the throttle??

                  No brother.. there is +/- 100 rpm differnce when idle... In 1st service they fix tappet noise..now a days when i ride hardly about 10-15 km..little tak tak sound pop ups..

                    Same to me! Here the service centre man told me that tappet adjustment is needed!

                      100rpm fluctuation is fine.
                      Tak tak sound is not.
                      The svc guys might have messed up the tappet clearances
                      Get them readjusted.

                        I've been following this thread actively for a while now.
                        It has been great following the interactions here, helped me gain a lot of useful knowledge!

                        I've posted this query on the R15s thread, but reposting here as a lot more members are active in this forum!

                        I bought my R15S (Spark Green) about 3 months ago.

                        The R15S has been terrific ride for me so far! No significant issues faced (Done 3500 Kms)

                        However since the past couple of weeks I am getting tappet sound from the engine, can any other owners confirm if they are facing this ?

                        Also since my bike is fairly new, would you recommend I should get the Tappet clearance adjusted at 3500 Kms ?
                        The SVC Mechanic said I can ride it till the next service (5000 Kms) But I am not sure if that is a good idea
                        Can any experienced members provide some comments ?

                          hello bro.. same problem here .. in my first service (8xxkm), they adjusted the tappets..but now a days there is a same tappet noise (odo now 16xx)..

                            I did my tappet adjustment after the first service. Its not a big deal. It can be adjusted but takes around 3-4 hours of time. Make sure you check after adjustment is done. Try keeping you bike at idle for 10 minutes and then check if the sound is there or not.

                              It is a trivial thing but the svc guys don't usually wait for the bike to cool completely and perform adjustment straight away.
                              This messes things up.
                              Its this collection of small issues that prevent me from visiting any SVC.
                              Better off doing it with my own hands.

                                Hello Friends,

                                I have a query with regards to the brake pads.
                                Yesterday I bought brake pad costing ₹600 . I remember last time I bought the same brake pad it costed me ₹820 from Yamaha svc .
                                I did some research and found out the first one is for 20P1 or R15v1 and the second one for R15v2
                                Part No. 5D9F580501 - ₹630 mrp
                                3C1F580510 - ₹820 mrp.
                                Can any body tell me what is the difference between both of them.
                                And Can I use the 20P1 brake pad in my 2FB3 R15v2 .
                                Also if any one has used the new MRF masseter tyres on R15 please give a review . Soon is the time coming for replacing tyres .
