I have a query with regards to the brake pads.
Yesterday I bought brake pad costing ₹600 . I remember last time I bought the same brake pad it costed me ₹820 from Yamaha svc .
I did some research and found out the first one is for 20P1 or R15v1 and the second one for R15v2
    Part No. 5D9F580501 - ₹630 mrp
    3C1F580510 - ₹820 mrp.
Can any body tell me what is the difference between both of them.
And Can I use the 20P1 brake pad in my 2FB3 R15v2 .
Also if any one has used the new MRF masseter tyres on R15 please give a review . Soon is the time coming for replacing tyres .
The 630 bucks one is of v1 and the 820 is of v2 both are interchangeable.
    Use any of it.
The 630 ones last a bit less on my bike
The 820 ones are a bit more sturdy.
If lasting is not an issue use any of it

I am copy pasting what I have done on my R15S to solve annoying visor vibration at 4000 rpm.
What we need is a piece of cycle tube or motorcycle tube. I tried the same with double sided tape but due to heat and pressure they are useless within a week. If you look at the pictures carefully 2 rubbers are sticked inside the visor and 2 rubber strips are fixed outside the visor using a drop of feviquick. The bottom corner is sticked with double sided tape. Hope its helpful and do post your observations once the mod is done.

Pads have gone! Please don't apply brakes until you change the brake pads or else you'll end up scrapping the disc plates which will reduce the braking efficiency even if you change the pads. Change it asap!

Update on this: Pads are just 1 month old and they are doing fine, i went for a long ride and realised, its not brakes, its something wrong either with the handle bar things in the front, i am getting a 'squeaky' sound when i apply brakes at very low speed as i mentioned earlier, the sound comes just right when the handle goes down and up, and my coneset also looks non-greased and dry as hell, also ita been one year since i changed my fork oil

Oh! Then you gotta check the coneset! Check it with the SVC..

Thick carbon residue on exhaust tip after using KN pod filter for 3 months now. Wiping the deposits and revving the engine again, I find the carbon residue accumulate back again in no time. Yet no black smoke from the exhaust! Is it normal or is the bike running rich? If rich then, are there any ways to correct it without losing the KN filter?

                    Hi guys,

My 3 year old R15 Version 2 has completed 19,000 kms. Thing is, I have read about front suspension folk oil change at 12,000 kms. The ASC guy did not suggest any such thing, instead recommended against it when I enquired.

Since there has been no issue in the folks, and also no degrade in bike dealing with speed bumps and potholes, I didn't insist on it.

Thing is, I have a feeling that they may mess the job up and I have to live with that.

Also, my coneset has been replaced twice. Once at 12,000 kms, which is the suggested lubrication period for those, and again at 19,000kms. The second set went kaput at 18,000 kms itself, that is only after 6,000 kms of use. 6,000 kms is too short a life for a consent costing ₹2500 and ₹500 labour.

Is that all the life they have, or is it that I'm going over potholes faster and need to be more careful. Any other reason for consent wearing fast?

Any inputs and suggestions are welcome.

                    Thanks,

                    Regards,
                    Rishikesh

For rear tyre I would suggest MRF Revz S costs around 3.2k , and newly launched MRF masster(140/70*17) .
Wiring harness will cost you around 3.5. - 4.5k ( not sure it will have sensors also ) try www.indiaspares.in site it gives you better idea about spares based on your bike model.
