  • Disc problem all the time

I have an yzf R15 V2.0 been a year now...Have faced alot of issues with the bike..One problem that keeps occuring is the rear disc..They charge me all the time at d service centres and the problem goes away for a day or two n then comes back.basically when I brake a little hard the tyre locks ..Changed the disc when ever the bike had a service(most of d service centres did that I suppose or else they just took the cash for it even after mentioning it on the jobcard)so can I put a bigger rear disc with better callipers ?? That's my main question

Start with cheap and simple things first
Get the plug and plug cap changed along with the air filter.
      Revert back after this

You mostly have a seized piston in your rear calliper. Could be because of hard oil seals not returning to their actual position
        Repair should be cheap.
Dismantle the calliper and replace all the worn out parts.

I'm using the same OSRAM Bilux HS1 but 55W on low beam (got in 100 bucks locally). The high beam, I still kept at default 35W, which is again an OSRAM Bilux H4 35W.
It's been 5 months or so, no battery drop even though I'm always running with low beam ON as DRLs.

Whatever you do, unless you fiddle a LOT with the reflector settings, you won't find an optimal light throw due to the improper reflector design.

            Thanks.

I curse people with super bright and annoying LEDs plonked on their bikes. And because I don't want to be on the receiving end of the same, I'll not use LED as a main headlamp.

Plus, those LEDs are useless on a rainy Pune night (which lasts for around 3 months).

                Regards.

This is a 4000k led I have been using.
Normal yellow lights good illumination. Is not at all irritating like those white leds

That's pretty nice. I reckon the same with Yellow LEDs, I've tried to find it locally but all I got was multiple shades of white.
Did you get it online? If yes, link please? What has you experience been with this?

Also, for a low beam that's kinda upwards eh, isn't it? (Looking at no blue indicator in the console)
I keep my low beam till the backrest of that scooter and my high beam...that is useless honestly, not sure where it goes.

                    Thanks.

                        • Mobile Holder for R15 V2.0 to recored ride videos

I want to install mobile holder in my bike. Main purpose to install the holder is to recored videos while i am riding through different cities.
As you people can see in attached picture, R15's handle is small in width and has no proper place for common available mobile holders. I am looking for a good quality mobile holder for my bike.
Plz suggests any website or shops which provide mobile holder in gurgaon or near to gurgoan.

Today, While cursing on the bike I suddenly heard a heavy whistling sound from the engine! i immediately stopped to check and found that the Air screw that is used to set the idle RPM was not in place! I just adjusted the idle RPM the previous day, (may be I might have loosened the screw too much, But I guess the mechanism of idle screw doesn't work that way as it has a spring action!) Immediately rushed to Yamaha SVC to buy the Air screw set, I wasn't able to make the spare seller understand what an air screw set is, so she called a mechanic and asked him to check whats faulty on my bike!

He then checked the missing Air screw and said that, the air screw isn't sold Separately and I have to change the whole throttle body for 6k plus! Is it really true that the air screw set isn't sold Separately and why should I change the perfectly working throttle body for the air screw which is not on the throttle body! Weird! Has anyone here changed their air screw before?

Check out the website indiaspares.in or [url]www.vicky .in

They have the whole inventory of almost all models of R15 v2 with the option of buying a particular part in an assembly. That might save your bank.
