There could be many reasons behind it.
From Descending order(Obvious one being the 1st one):
      1. You have not calculated the FE properly.
While filling 2tank full, did you make sure it touched the reserve (F) mark ?
      2. If not the above one, there is a serious problem with your riding style.
Although it's under run-in and FE should increase after 1st servicing(hope it's not done yet as odo is 550), you should atleast get something ~35.
      3. In case above reasons fail to answer, which is very unlikely but not impossible, then take the bike to svc for check up.

You need to be more careful while changing from 1st to 2nd. Make sure you hear the gear slot into place, otherwise here's something you can try: when shifting from 1->2 release the clutch while keeping the pressure on the gear lever and let go of the lever only after the clutch is fully disengaged.

Make sure you get grease in the all the places recommended in the manual and also everything else that's recommended in it.
The SVC guys will only be too happy to just change the oil and get over with the bike, its your responsibility to ensure everything gets done!
        Okay,Thanks For The Advice !

        • Got my Angel LE on 24th Jan, 267km completed on the odo till now. My Angel is in her Run-In period so I keep her below 5k rpm as suggested by the manual n giving her some short burst occassionaly. Feel some vibes near tank at 3k - 4k rpm. Will collect riding gears soon. 1 question: Angel's radiator fan kicks in 4-5 times till now but there is no overheat light comes on instrumental cluster! Is that normal?
          Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Riding faster than everyone else only guarantees you'll ride alone.

Yes its my first Bike...I am still learning may be this is this is the reason...
            If not
Twice i filled full tank but yes not necessary when it reached F mark...first time service ppl gave me bike with 2 Ltr filled..
Then filled full tank so 2+10
Then later 2nd full tank filling occurred at random when fuel meter reach one bar.
            so 2+10+9.5(approx) = 550Km
            550/21.5= 25 *

So now what i did let it reach -F 3.6 km and filled full tank
Odo trip to set to 0000
i am gona calculate this time..

Congrats on your bike, wish you thousands of happy n safe miles on your baby R. Radiator fan would kick in frequently during the run in period. That does not mean the engine is overheated. It is just getting set in.

                  Don't go by Bar idea.

Either you calculation/refilling method is wrong or something serious with the bike. 25kmpl is very low.

But 8500K is too less buddy....you might very well know but please get it checked in SVC itself about the chain life.
I don't think there is any other way other than replacing it(for the sake of bike) if it hits the edge.

Just curious, what is your normal usage of bike and how do you take care of chain ?
I ride about 40kms / day with mixed highways and city ride.
On highways used to ride at 120 + kmph.
Recently went to a longtrip doing 380kms at one shot at high speed above 130 kmph most of the times.
Think so this long trip caused this.
I lube the chain frequently myself.

Yup, calculate this time. Hope you will find satisfactory result
BTW, you dont need to fill full tank for calculating. Normal maths .

Ohhk....that's I would say a Normal riding which should not result in end of your chain's life @ 8500 kms.
One long ride should not cause this problem if the chain is maintained properly.
Now lubing is not enough, you should clean and tighten your chain as well on a regular basis.
Take it to SVC(if you've not done yet) and get it checked, I hope there is more life in to it

i think its better you give it on or before thursday, because wen i asked at the service centre in my area they said one should not lapse the service date ,doing so will void warranty !! i think the senior members will have better idea about it

Yes, you can only if you have good terms with the SVC people.
Many of us here have given for servicing after 1/2 weeks(max).

Please recommend a good Service Center in Delhi.
I went to Adarsh Yamaha at Okhla Phase 2 last time but I am not satisfied with them.

The way it Runs is what i cannot explain
                                "Lovely" in 1 word.

I dont know why people are getting same questions about Run in period again and again.
I hope their should be an link which has complete details of Run in period as few last pages just contain about run in period.

To the New V2 owners, Love your bike because you have got something Amazing.
