Hello all.... I really need some help.My front brake lever pushes back when i apply brake...Dunno how to explain,but its acting like abs enabled bike.. Also when standstill there is some resistance when i press the brake lever..Its not smooth and Play is too much. Braking is very bad now, it pushes the lever back whenever i apply brake and its not at all sharp as before Whats the problem?? time to bleed? Or something wrong with caliper?? Pads are good and oil level is full.. Seniors i need help plz.. @Ron Syl or @abhimanyu31 ???

I don't know much about technical aspects. But when you change anything from stock, all other parameters would also have to be changed..
how can you change one thing and not the other, when it is set for something else..

Well, I have already ridden my bike for 12.5k Kms. I got my baby on 9th October, 2012 and from then on its only Happy Riding. 5th servicing is done and waiting for the 6th one very soon. My bike still gives me a FE of 42-44 kmpl. I use only Shell petrol. In Bangalore I used to fill up from Mahadevpura or Varthur Road bunks. In Pune I fill up from Hinjewadi bunk. Recently I started using Super and the FE got increased by 1-2 kmpl. Recently had a round trip from Pune to Hyderabad of around 1350 kms, which has a very good mix of very good, good, average, bad and very bad Indian road conditions. I still got a FE of 42-44 kmpl while going from Pune to Hyderabad. While returning though got a little less of around 39-40 kmpl. Maybe because of the Shell Raidurg bunk of Hyderabad did not provide the quality fuel. Anyways, even after 12.5k KMs in the ODO, I am still getting 42-44 kmpl using Shell petrol. But whenever I used anything other than Shell, which I did only for 5-6 tomes, I got 37-38 kmpl. So paying extra for Shell does pay off for my case.

Keep some tobacco leaves stored in your bike. Those will keep the rats away. Though you will get a stenching smell, but this is what will make the rats stay away. Let the service guys do their work and your bike will be back to her self again. So chillax !!! Your baby will be all OK

Yamaha is actually bringing out a new R15 version with lowered rear seat. They will launch it soon. And as far as I have heard, from a person highly placed in Yamaha, we can surely bet on R25, and not FZ25, but they are planning to bring it out by end of 2014. So lots of time now for me to save money to get this one.

sorry man. i have no idea as to what you are explaining. its pretty difficult to understand just by words.

BTW please do mention if you have done anything to the brakes recently. like changing disc pads or anything related to from brakes.

my rear brakes is giving screeching sound now a days. assuming because of dust and rains. and also its new pads. hardly 300kms old.

I know you have discussed this issue before in this thread. But it would be great if you could share your complete experience in one long post with everyone. Like what that sound was and where exactly it was coming from? Was there any effect on the bike's performance coz of that ( low pick up, mileage etc etc)? And exactly what all was changed in your vehicle? I am just curious & well the more we learn about the bike... the better

No changes. Pads good,brake oil is full
Il try to explain it again
1. When standstill The front brake lever is not engaging smoothly. There is some resistance as if something is struck.

2. When bike is running, if I press front lever,it is opposing my pressure. This happens in sequence like I apply- will oppose-will brake-will oppose- and goes on. Just like abs when you try to lock the wheel.

And braking power is seriously reduced due to this

So is it due to airbubbles or caliper prob?

I got some problems regarding decompressure sound, Svcs did not responded even after complaining, I Made a video of everything which was happening with me at Svc and asked them to close the Svc right now, Surprisingly they called the Service Engineer and asked me to speak. When i said my complete story, the decompresure was changed free of cost at same time and now every one of them scares of me and take my bike on priority whenever i go for service.
Most important thing is the problem was resolved and i cant believe the performance was Increased to its Max.

Well i was also facing Decomoressure issue from past 5 months, but after change i can still listen the trrrrr sound when i move to high Rpms.
I don't understand whether "Taped" needs settings or i need to go and replace the same parts.
