Is It mandatory to get valve clearance done at 20K, even after there is no tappet noise and the bike running fine?

Not really warranted, but if you manual suggests to so, then I don't think there is reason not to.

Nope last tappet done at 72k(on odo) kms still going fine 106,495 kms on odo now. Depends on how you ride and how the adjustment was done.
Minor differences in clearance are fine. Its until you get that jangling sound of tappets that you should be worried. Upto you if you want to get it checked. Personally i dont bother if it sounds fine.

Thats fine brother. I had one query on front brakes. I have completed 15000km and did changed the brake pads once around 8k. Till now the brake pads looks ok. 40℅ life to be exact. But the problem is the brakes feels like they are sliding over the disc, it like they are not able to hold the disc. It's like oily surface over the disc, making it slide. Its been 4000km I am riding like this. Any help.

Totally depends on how you ride brother.
For normal riding and braking, the tire lasts 30-35k kms, mine has done 19k kms and still has more than half the life left.
If you are into hard riding and braking, burnouts and stuff like that, the life will dramatically reduce.
but for normal usage, 30k is the benchmark.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

                    Bangalore guys help out.
Went for a ride to coorg (total 640 kms covered ).
The race bearings are history as are the tyres.
Got 49.8 mileage for the entire trip(80-120kmph)
Any idea about where to get proper guys who can repair the cone set. I got it changed in Perfect riders and they did the work in complete opposite way "imperfectly".
The house owners of the house i stay in are pissed at me doing repairs on my bikes so instead of having fights with them every now and then unwillingly had to go to a SVC for the first time and experience was pathetic.
Any good workshops who can do the repairs infront of my eyes will be appreciated.
My hate for SVCs has deepened after this fiasco. There are good SVCs according to some guys here but they are far and keeping the bike in a SVC for 2 days for a cone set change is not my cup of tea.
Worst case some one let me use your garage space for a couple of hours..
P.s. last line was a joke.

Take out the pads put them on some rough surface and scrape it against the surface you will be done and put it back . This is common with new bikes. The disc and pads both are smooth so it often happens the pads will be glazed.

How much kilometres have your bike run with that old steering bearing?? I replaced mine when it was 30k on the odo and which was factory installed one. But what I found was even though the races have damaged marks, we can still use it by grinding the races with sand paper and changing only the balls.. I did it and now have a fully restored bearing set with me.. next time will be installing this..

He's good, worked on my friend's R15 before.

Lol i know nobert. Just ask him about Parvez the black 2011 V2 with orissa reg plates, he will narrate you how the Bannerghatta road perfect riders royally screwed up my bike. He was present during my fight with the SVC guys. Next time i called him he told me to contact the manager in bannerghata road i was disillusioned so stopped contacting him further and wrote off the incident as my foolishness to trust SVCs.

Iam yet to open up the races and before this i utilised old races by polishing them in a lathe but the perfect guys told that cant be done and forcibly change dthe races and bearings and all the things. Next thing i know is a moving handle regular loosening and all the associated crap.
My current bearings are 9k kms old my previous bearings lasted 30k(just bearings, old races) 45k(just bearings ,old races) and 20k respectively( bearings n races both). The last one didnt last long because my bike was left with my brother who is not that big a DIY or ultra-sensitive guy so it was screwed. got back the bike on june with many crap ailments. Dealing with the abuse accumulated over one year and the worst kind of SVC ever seen ever since.

He is helping my friend getting some discount/freebies for the R3. He had his own workshop in frazer town which he opened after getting disillusioned with the svc. Good mechanic and nice guy too, but it's unfortunate that your bike got screwed over by crappy SVCs.

i think i need to replace the stock clutch lever with something else which reduces the distance between the clutch lever and the handle (where the palm grabs the handlebar) because lately i am getting sprains from the frequent clutch usage particularly in heavy traffic to the point of sometimes becoming unbearable and very painful to pull in the lever after being stuck in crawling traffic for more than a few minutes...this didnt use to happen before but has been happening for the last couple of months, and the sprain in my left wrist lasts several days in an on-again-off-again manner..

i see plenty of adjustable clutch and brake levers (i dont need to replace the front brake lever but might as well do so) for R15 in ebay, does anyone here know if those are legitimate stuff ? there's hardly a review of these things in the internet.
