Simply topped up the oil. Squeaking gone and things are back to normal now.

Took my friend's Impulse for a short spin last weekend. Pretty good for a laid back rider like me. RVMs are useless, so are the brakes, so is the headlamp. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride though.

A question to all the current owners of the Impulse.

what is the situation with the coneset currently? is it still a pain issue for the current owners?

I plan to buy one, however a mechanic from the authorized service center advises against buying one as there are issues with Coneset and requires replacement every 2000-3000 kms.

Please let me know if there are any other issues faced.

Honestly speaking I have the cone set problem till now my impulse is of 2012
And the service centre people could not solve the problem they have once replaced my cone set but im use to it now., the kaat kaat sound from the cone set still comes I hope you get lucky because it seems every impulse owner doesn't have this cone set problem. Correct me if I am wrong.
I visited the service centre 10 to 15 times but its waste of time every time I go there they just adjust my cone set and say abii chalaa ke dekho so I left going to service centre. It upto you it seem hero is launching and 200cc impulse lets see

High and a little broader handlebar installed. More relaxed and increased manuverability on offroads now.

Best fork oil is what you want, too soft? Try veedol, too hard? Try motul..
Just right? Try servo (yeah good fork oil! ),
Also, change oil seals while your at it,
Fork oil amount font know brother but it will be a hell of a lot more than normal ones,

Oh my god liters hahahah thats too much brother
Do you have the service manual or owners manual? That must have thr fork oil drian interval etc and volume.
Also, go for w20 (heavy is mentioned on the bottle)fork oil from motul comes in a 350 ml bottle.

Unreliable source but impulse has 180ml of fork oil required in each fork.
Company claims a few ml lesser.
Use w20 heavery grade from motul for a stiffer front,

Manual claims 176 ml per fork of w20 I think. So something similar I guess
