Rather than visiting the SVC, You can just increase the pressure on both tyres by 2psi and see if the handling gets back to normal.Originally posted by AnupamOnWheels View Post______________________________________

Great stuff from the Duke owners!
Hi guys,
Rajat here. Been slyly following the thread for a couple of weeks, even since I got interested in picking up the Duke 200, but this is my first post.
A lot of us have been quietly just reading the posts, envious of you Duke owners and just trying to get a better understanding of the bike and its performanceJJDelhi Dukers on Facebook

hey guys i previously used to ride fz occasionally
and switched to DUKE from honda dio
i find the duke very heavy compared to FZ and not able to push it back sometimes from parking lot
why is it so
even FZ weighs same as DUKE
but why am i feeling difficulty pulling the bike back while i sit on it ?

The riding position in Duke gives u less grip on the ground than fz. I u notice well u can see that we only put our heel on the ground when sitting in dukeOriginally posted by hunkofgals View Posthey guys i previously used to ride fz occasionally

Also guys I really love the "Chrome sticker kit". I m curious. Is it only for the black color variant of the bikes or can they be used on our oranges too. And does KTM have any plan of bringing them here ?

The Chrome sticker Kit is going to be available in India but it will take a long while just like all the other powerparts that need to be available...you would need to buy the black tank cover and the black rear upper fender to make the chrome kit look good, and also you should change the front fairing to the black one, all very easy to do.Originally posted by sriram90 View PostAlso guys I really love the "Chrome sticker kit". Chrome Sticker Kit like the others should be around Rs.4.5-5kSpeed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

Exhaust chrome peeling
Hey guys I took pictures of an exhaust of the KTM 125 Duke and the KTM 200 DUKE here in Singapore, and they too have the same exhaust header chrome peeling effect we are seeing in India!!!
So its not something that had been overlooked in the Quality Checks from them...its an issue all over the world!!! ...this should prove a strong case to get the exhaust headers replaced soon...
New KTM Grips!!!
Also I picked up the KTM handle Grips for Singapore $45...taht was literally the only thing I wanted to buy coz everything else was just super expensive, being Singapore they apply taxes on EVERYTHING!!!
These are the grips I bought...Last edited by joshzma225; 04-29-2012, 12:43 AM.Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

How much would the tank cover and fender cost ?Originally posted by joshzma225 View PostThe Chrome sticker Kit is going to be available in India but it will take a long while just like all the other powerparts that need to be available...you would need to buy the black tank cover and the black rear upper fender to make the chrome kit look good, and also you should change the front fairing to the black one, all very easy to do.

And nice grips

I am not so sure about this explanation, coz I can feel both my feet planted firmly(I am 5'10'') and I too feel it a bit heavy while trying to move it forward and backward by using only hands. Actually I think the Bike has centrally allocated weight distribution(i.e. weight is distributed centrally to give better handling), so we all are finding it a bit tough to move this bike only using hands. Correct me if I am wrong.Originally posted by sriram90 View PostThe riding position in Duke gives u less grip on the ground than fz. Not sure whether Duke 350 will come sooner or not. When I tried to enquire them they gave me a hint that it could be the 690 Duke coming soon to us.Originally posted by whytdelight View PostJ___________________________________________

When I checked with the service guy in Hyderabad, he recommended 300V over 7100... and said that he can arrange it for me too...Originally posted by AnupamOnWheels View PostI'm sure the ASC guyz will think otherwise. From my experiences and stories heard - they love to stick to what is recommended. BTW Motul 300V is better suited for higher displacement high power bikes. For Duke even the 7100 will work absolutely fine without fail.
Though theoritically 15WX is a substitute of 20WX but the ASC guyz surely can delay or reject your claim for warranty if they want. So, don't do that in front of them or by informing them.
In case situation arises and you need to file claim change it to Motul and present the Bike to them.

As per the manual, it is Castrol Radicool...Originally posted by Shubz View PostBro - I guess you are a bit mistaken here.
The factory default is Castrol Radicool. And I don't think we can directly add the concentrated coolant into the tank. It must be diluted in the ratio 2:1 (water to coolant) and then poured into the tank. Unless you are using a ready-mix which is already diluted.
(I could be wrong and would love to be corrected)
The service guy at Hyderabad suggested 1:1 ratio...

reduced performance of duke
hello to everyone..
this is my first post in Xbhp..
i got my duke on 25 march, from there to now i have completed 1400km. 1st service was done last week.
i have experiencing performance problem with pillion rider. with me only the bike goes fine but with pillion bike is doing lot of efforts to reach 100kmph.
i have done 125kmph maximum solo
and 118 kmph with pillion rider
on 125 KMPH bike seems to top of its performance and similar condition on 118 with pillion.
any body else have faced such problem??
I know that with pillion bike performance get reduced but that was drastic change..
plz suggest what should i do??

even if i stand and push the bike its kinda heavyOriginally posted by AnupamOnWheels View PostI am not so sure about this explanation, coz I can feel both my feet planted firmly(I am 5'10'') and I too feel it a bit heavy while trying to move it forward and backward by using only hands. thought it would be light
and sitting on the bike and pushing it is a nightmare in slightly inclined positions
so im getting down and pulling the bike
