The above issue was also faced by @faffy, in his 200NS. The SVC guys told that the problem was due to some ball-bearing issue in the front wheel, and the SVC replaced the front wheel from another bike.Originally posted by AnupamOnWheels View PostsigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

Cool Man, how much did it cost you? Also, how much did the mirror mods cost and where did you get those from?Originally posted by stanley17 View PostHere are the photos of the 3 parts I covered with dry carbon decals.
Also, I change the 4 bolts that are holding the visor with KEITI's windshield bolts ( I use gold colour )
I customized a BST's (tail) number plate holder and put it below the headlamp
Last, I change the stock mirror with (rep) RIZOMA TOMOK in black, the mirrors made from Aluminium CNC, even thought the mirrors are small, I can see my back clearly, and shake-free

[QUOTE=maverick1;842349]the mistake i did was testing ns after testing duke .. i had considered duke to be the benchmark and so i ended up not liking ns .. i instantly ignored cbr after test ride due to its wieght ... rode ns yesterday and instantly decided to go for duke ... now duke is my full and final decision ... making the full payment on friday ...Originally posted by Rohan200ns View Posti was in a same situation a few days back .. now i have pretty much decided to go for duke although i have booked ns ..
/QUOTE]
Hey Rohan i have read almost all of your posts regarding the indecision
and i was in same situation for months albeit between duke and cbr 250r
i went all the way from Duke to CBR to a SBK to pulsar 200ns to now back t o Duke
talk about vicious Circle !!
many of your concerns regarding reliability and issues with various parts are justified while some are bordering or strictly technologically impossible scenario like bike petrol talk catching fire .
To give a short answer as of now - When the duke was about to be launched i was awestruck with its features, technology etc and even before having a test ride was falling for DUKE . After the test ride i decided completely against it. You can search my detailed posts regarding the same in this forum itself. just to be sure i went for another test ride and my impressions improved but not by high degrees.
I was decided on CBR after test riding it just after Duke but was never in accord with its vfrish looks and softer front suspension other wise i loved the bike.
while riding duke and cbr i decided to go for something bigger and went to Mumbai to buy SBK but in my budget it was getting generally carb ones of 1999 year so decided to save more money and meanwhile buy sub 1 lac bike.
Now i come to Pulsar 200 NS . i fitted my budget perfectly and the reviews were and are raving about the bike handling, pickup, build quality etc is better then last pulsars by miles. one mag went to an extent by even declaring although indireclty pulsar a better bike then duke.
so to say the least i was having high expectations when primarily for the test ride i went to Delhi.
After the test ride of Pulsar i found the bike is very good but by no mean superb or in a different league of my last pulsar circa 2006 pulsar 180.
Then i rode KTM and man what a difference
first almost all of niggles which i pointed out before in my posts were ironed out except
still was difficult to find neutral and horn is still a joke
I am of view bajaj/ktm have really toiled and ironed out all the issues which i experienced before and the bike which i rode was a better test ride vehicle then the ktm which i rode in Lucknow. These two combined had a wonderful effect.
Simply put comparing KTM to Pulsar is comparing apples to oranges in terms of bike feedback, engine grunt, pickup, commanding position, quality of parts, fit and finish of parts, paint quality technology etc etc.
if Pulsar 200ns is good value for money at 95 on road Delhi then KTM duke is a steal for 1,35,000 on-road in Delhi.
KTm is in different league then pulsar in everything, even if both bikes are just on side stands and you have a close look you will see the plastic quality of pulsar 200ns is not even comparable to Duke and so is the quality of paint on tank side panels etc. The way knees tuck in Duke gives you superb control, only aspect where a pulsar 200ns beats KTm is that it has got slightly better horn
.
After you reported of several problems with bike i read almost entire thread to come to conclusion that all the members are saying in unison that the problems are promptly sorted by Bajaj and new batches are not having the issues .
I don't mean to say Pulsar 200ns is not good product it is for its price but Duke is steal mate. I after test riding it twice had wrote it off but kudos to bajaj for making the changes at assembly line itself and training the technicians better so that bikes are being delivered in optimized condition now so i am forced to change my views that too happily as it is always good to see a product reach its worthwhile status now i intend to own it quite soon

Bro I picked up mine from Lajpat Nagar KTM since this one opened recently and was also near my house.Originally posted by whytdelight View PostTo the Delhi Dukers, where did you pick up your Duke from? I'm thinking of picking it up from either Bagga Link, Karol Bagh or the Connaught Place showroom. Any comments/feedback/suggestion?
Especially regarding which showroom might have the latest batch of Dukes? I'd asked last time that how can I identify whether the Duke I'm picking up is a recent batch or relatively older batch but no one responded to my query. Anyone know the answer to that please do let me know. Cheers!
Also i guess they would be having the latest batch because of the same reason.
Got to know from my friend who is an Insider that the existing ProBiking showrooms at CP and Vasant Vihar are going to close soon and that is why BAjaj is appointing dealers for KTM.
I guess you should buy it either from Bagga, Karol Bagh or from Lajpat Nagar KTM.
However I am pretty happy with my dealer. Cheers and All the Best for your Duke.

If you are from Mumbai then I'd advice you to have a stroll in Andheri.. A friend of mine got KTM gloves for 2,500 bucks from there.Originally posted by sub-zero View PostWhat's the status of the powerparts availability? Anyone have any info?
How come rim stickers, crash pads, tank cap sticker are available at some SVCs but the rest of the stuff is not? Any idea on if the rest are even going to arrive in India or not. I am interested in getting the handguards, KTM gloves and maybe the tank sticker kit. (the prices of all these were mentioned awhile back ITT)
Rest, you will have to buy from KTM store itself. The best alarm clock is sunshine on chrome.

with the lid on we can hardly hear the exhaust noteOriginally posted by Doga View Postpartly due to the reason that it has in fact become smoother and partly due to the fact that you have gotten used to it.
For me, since I rode the bike without a lid for some time before finally getting my helmet, the change was even more drastic. SO don't worry, people can still hear the exhaust, may be a bit less but it's anyday louder than most other desi bikes

anyways thanks for reply

Last sunday i had gone to Karol Bagh as some work had to be done on my bike. And those who have seen the Karol Bagh area were all bike work is done know that a few shops sell second hand bikes. So there was this second hand bike shop right next to MXSMotoSport where i had gone to get the work done i saw the duke for the first time in flesh. There was a CBR 250R / a Ninja 250 / Yamaha R15 V2.0 but the duke was looking totally different from the rest of the pack.
It was looking totally an alien from another world, i think because of its color / body frame and headlight (which according to me is the best part i like on this bike, i had even thought of getting its headlight assembly for my bike.
I could be wrong or it is just my imagination but i felt that the tyre size was a bit smaller when compared to other bikes.
I couldnt get my eyes of it and was totally in love with the sheer looks. No matter how hard i try this is one bike which i will not be able to buy at least for the moment.
Hence my heartiest congratulations to all those who own it.
This bike was available for Rs 1.2 lacs at this shop. It even had the protective sticker on the console.

Thanks AnupamOnWheels.Originally posted by AnupamOnWheels View PostCheck your Coolant level, when the engine is very hot. It seems the coolant overflowed when the engine was hot and came via the overflow pipe. And it's normal and present there for the security reason.
Coolant level is well between min and max limit. But for what purpose does the coolant comes out of the overflow pipe when the engine is hot ?
Kindly share the uses of coolant overflow pipe and during what situations does it spill the coolant out.

did you check the coolant level when engine is at its peak temperature ?
Mines took its first overflow 2days back, partly because of the wire mesh radiator guard i installed and because the way my friend ripped my bike
,
When engine is hot the coolant expands, when it hits above the max mark it overflows ,
