I have no idea how this happened. I just noticed a few days ago that when I turned the handlebar to the left, it turned all the way till its movement was blocked by the fuel tank.
My biggest worry is that the repeated contact between the handlebar and the top of the tank will ruin the paint. (A matte black custom paint job I got for the bike)

I looked around online, but so far I couldn't find any info. Could anyone help me out?

    1. Is it required to get the whole t-stem clamp replaced? If yes, how much will it cost (and is there anything else I should know)?
    2. If I don't have to get it replaced, is there any way to prevent the handlebar from hitting the fuel tank each time I park the bike? I just got a second coating done, and it's depressing to watch it being scraped off slowly

    Thanks!
If your handlebar is contacting your tank while turning it completely, then you've got a bent handlebar.

      Two reasons that isn't likely:

      1. The handlebar has never been subjected to enough impact to bend it (no crashes, falls or anything of the sort)
      2. In the picture, you can see that the clamp is supposed to have a metal outcropping which stops the handlebar from turning all the way. That has broken off (no idea how it happened though.)

Assuming the handlebar is bent after all and this is not an issue at all, any idea how much it will cost to repair/replace it?

Lower T-stem would cost 4K plus the labour charges (likely higher since it involves stripping the entire front end)

Side note, without the motorcycle taking any sort of impact, it's highly unlikely for the stopper to break off from the T-stem.

        Cheers

I'm usually careful, but this might have happened because of some rough patch while riding. Anyway, I'll get it fixed over the weekend. Thanks!

I think you should get it replaced under warranty. That stopper shouldn't snap off like that.. was probably a weak point in the casting process assuming that you were not involved in crash or dropped the bike.
Take the pics and send it to bajaj/ktm via email and ask them to replace it under warranty, am pretty sure the svc will say no warranty. .so talk to them and shoot an email with the proof.

I don't think it'll affect your bike's warranty in any manner. Also, it's absolutely legal!

                • Duke 200 paddock stand

                  Hi guys,

                  First post here

I'm looking for a paddock stand for my duke 200 which lifts the swingarms directly (i.e, without bobbins). I saw a guy selling them here but that was some years ago. I cant afford the overpriced ones available which costs 4k+.
Be one with your beast. \m/

Hi everyone! So I was riding the bike like it was a commuter (sanely) . Took a U turn on a one way. Another commuter bike was speeding. I didn't see him. He didn't see me. Came and hit me near the right fork. Won't say he hit me hard because he jammed his breaks. It resulted in a crash, not very hard but enough to throw him off his bike and my bike fell to the side where he hit me from. I stood up without any injury luckily. My right mirror is damaged so I took it off. And my handlebar seems like it's bent slightly. Like the right side has come towards the tank and the left side away from the tank. It's not major but I can feel it while riding. Though the bike isn't swaying on a straight line, I hope the right fork hasn't bent.

Looks like your forks are out of alignment. Get them re aligned. Highly doubt anything is bent.

Any idea about the cost? Like does it take time? How do I know what's actually wrong with it like if the svc guy says there is a lot of damage? But I'm 100% sure it's not damaged. It just feels like the handlebar is slightly bent.

Just get a new handle bar installed. If everything is fine, forget the accident and carry on. If something is not right still, try to get it fixed.

                          Also check for radiator leaks.

Hmm. That's what I thought. Just that when I look down at the forks while sitting on the bike, the right fork feels like it has slightly bent towards the front. But riding in a straight line doesn't feel weird.
                            Thanks

I need some help fellow Duke owners: I want an output shaft (part number: JG551025402) from your nearby service center.

Recently my 200 started leaking out engine oil from the front sprocket area, to such an extent that it drained out completely. I had to put the bike on a truck and offload it at the service center. Turns out that my output shaft was broken (we checked the oil seals, they were fine). Currently in Goa, the part is out of stock and would like to know if anyone help me out to get it. Kindly PM me if you can help me out.

                              Cheers!

You won’t be able to judge correctly when you have a bent handle bar

The front forks are pretty tough ones. Unless there is heavy hit on them, they don’t get bent.

Just try to replace handle and check. If everything is fine why bother.
After few days, if you see oil leak from front forks, you might have a bend. But that’s a rare occurrence.

Dropped my zma few times. Never there was a bend. Zma forks aren’t as tough as those of duke’s.
