Suggested engine oil for cbr 150r is 10w30 as per honda.
Will any problem arise if I change the grade?

Honda throttle is 10w 30 grade. If you want to stick with recommended grade then use honda throttle.

Shell advance ultra is tried and tested on many cbr's. Many owners are happy with this oil.

            Hi,
            I need some help.
Today, i changed my parking bulbs to led bulbs.
Stock parking bulb is 5w and led bulb is 1w.
Later i came to know that tail lamp bulb is gone!!
But no idea whether it gone before or after replacement of led bulbs.
Is this problem occurred to other owners??

I also changed my pilot lamps to leds.. dont know about their rating though (one unit has 12 small leds in it).. been using them for 5 months now and faced no issues what so ever.
The problem maybe with your tail lamp I guess

Hi hafez812,I've been using Honda Throttle 10w30 Fully Synthetic since 3 years. The bike was in extended warranty so I preferred honda recommended products. But this year as the warranty expired, I used Motul 7100 10w40 F.S. and believe me, its much better than Honda Throttle 10w30. The engine feels as good as new. I am enjoying the engine smoothness it has enhanced and the throttle response is also improved, vibrations are lesser and even the firing sounds smoother.I agree with Bala for coolent and tyres. I dont have any experience of Shell Advance Ultra 10w40.MICHELIN 130 70 r17 costs around ₹5500 where as MRF REVZ Radial 130 70 r17 costs around ₹3500.

                  Hi Guys,

This is my very first post on here. I am currently facing an "imbalance" kind of a feeling with my CBR150, which is quite scary and troubling at times.
Also have noticed that it happens on certain areas/roads only. Earlier i thought it has to do something with the tyres, but they were changed 4000kms ago.
Their physical condition doesn't look like they're losing their grip. Anyone else feeling the same ? Let me know what could be the issue.
My servicing is pending next month so i am yet to discuss this with the SVC.
Before i take the bike to them i need to know what could be the cause of the problem, and what the SVC might comment and recommend for rectifying this.

                  Cheers and Safe riding.

Me too facing this issue with my bike on bad roads at 80+ speed. In my case, i feel it's due to the stock tvs tyre which is 9500+ kms old. Which is hardened by abusing and Too many noticeable cracks on tyre. I am going to replace it with mrf revz s.

In your case, since you replaced tyre hence not an issue of tyre.
Check all bearings, bushings, rubber cushion of wheel. Drive chain tensioning bolts should be equally tightened on both the sides.
Btw which tyre are you using??

Yes, definitely not a tyre issue. Will find out what the SVC guys suggest. And just to add to my point, this "imbalance" feeling is irrespective of the speed i am at. I have usually felt it at 30-50 km/hr as well. Not sure if its the same the 80+ , as that particular road has a speed limit.
Also that particular road seems to be quite plain with very less wear and tear.
I am currently using a MRF NYLOGRIP Zapper 130/70 17.

I face the same problem now but, it is because I hit a couple of bad potholes and the rims are slightly bent, very slightly. Did you hit any potholes?
I meditate as I ride to find a place to sit and meditate.

                            Hi,
Earlier, when engine becomes hot, coolent level in reservoir used to increase, and it decrease when engine becomes cool. Also, i need to topup coolant in reservoir.

But, sadly for past 2 months i didn't notice any increase/decrease in coolant level when engine becomes hot/cold. Didn't required coolant topup.
So, to find reason behind this mystery, today i removed right side fairing and then removed radiator cap.
To my surprise , their is low coolant level in radiator. 100 ml coolant required to topup till the radiator cap.

Free advice to all members, if you don't see any increase/decrease of coolant level in reservoir then plz check coolant level in radiator

Guys please me decide between CBR150r and 250r

                              - Is 150r a decent touring machine, like if I have to cruise at a speed of 110-120 kph will it struggle for a long time?

                              - Though Im also concerned with mileage, which is pushing me away from 250r as owners reported mileage of 30kmpl. how much cbr 250r can return on highways if cruising at a speed of say 100 kmph.

                              - cbr250r is like 36k expensive than 150r and in that I will get 100 more cc more torque, bhp minus the mileage. So that make me think to go with 250r but then NO ABS for base model of 250r.

I had a budget of 1,30,000 but thought of pushing it further considering what I'll be getting more by paying that 40k extra.

So is 150r that less powerful than 250r?

                                Hi,
This problem is caused due to play in steering or damaged cone set/steering kit/ball racer kit. I am also facing the same problem, I've changed the cone set/steering kit twice but the replaced one is of poor quality and it gets damaged soon. Check with the Service Center and then change it.
