Honda CBR 150 R

      200NS production stopped for a while..i heard..
      Well there is no official news for launch of a CBR 150, but face lift version of 250r is on the way. And probably they may release the same for 150R too. Never think about adding switch gears yourself. It will simply void your warranty. Safe suggestions is to wait for few days as 4aug Honda should surprise us with something new. You could also look for some other bikes.

          as far as i understand the speedo is related to the crankcase and not front wheel so there wont be any error occuring. also the front wheel is move only as fast as the rear wheel. if the rear wheel dimensions are correct the speedo will still show what it was before without any changes.

          however upsizing the front will have impact on handling.
          first the front contact patch has increased.
          second the tyre height is more than stock.

          as 10-20mm change in geometry will indeed affect the way machine will handle.

          also using a radial at front and a ply-bias at rear will give you very odd feel. supple at front and bouncy at rear.
          while the front will hold under hard cornering the rear will loose grip at those levels due to harder compound compared to front

            what is the warranty period of electricals in cbr ?? and if I add 250r switchgears in 150r,will it function well ????

              Oh happy to know that there isn't going to be any speedo error.my rear also fitted with Michelin pilot street radial 140/70.check the tyre thread.

                IIRC CBR comes with a 2years of warranty. And if you play with any instrument you won't get any warranty claims. Even I wanted to upgrade my 250R horn to a dual horn and one of the CBR mechanic warned me about the warranty void.

                My humble suggestion is to do not modify these things, at least for few years after you buy it.

                    new CBR means totally different..ie with dual headlamps like in Indonesia (google it CBR 150R 2015)

                      Yes, do check web for some pictures of new 150R models from south Asian countries. If you have decided to go for a CBR then I feel it will be worth to wait for few weeks. And yes, these news mods of CBR will be a bit costlier than current versions.

                        I thought the new CBR (dual headlights) was called the facelift version, so the confusion.

                          3-4 months back, a Honda showroom guy told me that CBR160R is coming (10cc increase), with dual headlamps. But no news of it anywhere.

                            As of what I've heard and been told by the Honda SVC personnel, the speedo in the CBR 150R is linked with the front wheel. What you are saying is the case with the CBR 250R, if I'm not wrong.
                            And uh, this may sound awkward but during the summers I used to practice wheelies on my baby CBR, and the speedo would show about 18-20 kmph at the point where I'd drop the clutch, and until the front wheel came back down, it'd show around the same figure, which would immediately pop up to 35-40 kmph when the front wheel touched down. At first I was surprised at how the bike accelerated that fast, then realised that the speedo is actually linked to the front wheel!

                              Hey CBR owners do you give your bikes to Honda service centers even after the free servicing is over, or do you have you own mechanics or local centers you give your bike for servicing to.

                              Im confused since honda service is not up to the mark and the charges also go high for low quality service.
                              need suggestion also advice if any good service centers near borivali

                                You won't get any nice service centers near borivali!!

                                Best one would be vihaan honda (manpada, thane) 30kms aprox from borivali. Mechanic will be Abdul. He does the service nicely. Plenty of cbr250r owners along with me has benefited from vihan.
