seems like problems started creeping in... Do ask the svc about it and let us know man... and about the chain lube...,best is motul..but its too costly... The most value for money chain lube is tvs chain lube... Its wonderful...just try it... I wont ever use anything other than this...
@all: any more new updates on fuel efficiency anyone?

I for one did it the motoman way since I got it (P220) from the showroom almost 1 year ago and haven't had any engine, gearbox, clutch problem at all

        Cheers, ride safe.
thanks a lot dude! btw which is best mineral oil? any suggestions?

That reviewer says that the P200NS remains smooth only till 80 kmph..!! And also that the 200 Duke is smoother at 120 Kmph... well that is news to me as I found the 200NS to be very smooth at 120 Kmph..!!

Any P200NS owners taken their bike at over 100 Kmph..?? Is there any loss in the smoothness at speeds above 100 Kmph..??

First, about the build quality and everything, lets take into account the price of the NS when compared to the CBR and the Duke!!

And i dont think anyone else had a problem of vibes - neither MG sir and others in the long term test review, nor in the test video of overdrive and owners of NS..

Wind Blast - Its a naked bike! obviously there will be wind blast when compared to faired bikes like CBR.

And plenty of points were in favour of the NS in that review. To put it simply, Its bang for the buck! We cannot get a better bike in that price range, period.

( P.S Demo bike arriving in showroom tomorrow most probably cant wait to see it! )

Ride safely and responsibly. Remember, we have just one life.

that review is just bull squirt ! motoroids have conveniently called it a member review while they seem to vouch for it..

I would suggest you to go into Motul 3000 mineral oil but I personally have not used it so can't comment on its quality. Do some research on Google concerning the best mineral oils you have in your market, in my case the SC used to put Shell Advance SX, I had no problems with it other than the gearbox becoming a bit harsh when close to the drain intervals but since 2nd service I switched to Motul 5100.

                    • people say that ns is not having the punch of p220 but still it manages better 0-60 and 0-100 timings .. does it mean that its roll-on acceleration takes a hit ?

                      • If someone already posted this then apologies.

Bangalore Price (Confirmed): Little over 1 lakh (~101,0xx something).

Exact price available at Kalyani Bajaj (near Mekhri Circle).

Guess stupid Karnataka taxes (being highest in India) ensured afterall that its not going to be an "under 1-lakh" bike in here.
Currently without a vehicle. Uber App and Bangalore Metro serving all my travel needs.

and its not good for your machine to rip it to its limits if you truly love it .
Top speed is very important for touring people. Say a bike has top speed of 200 kmph, it will be lot more comfortable in top gear at 120 kmph with less rpms on tacho. One with 160 will have higher revs but rider and engine both are under more stress. Thus higher top speed the better. And a bike with top speed of 140, don't think about touring at 120 kmph. It will probably mean 7-8 k on tacho and will take a long time to even reach there. These figures are generalised but give an idea of capability of the bike.

The P200NS does 120 Kmph effortlessly.. and can do all day long. Yes, it means 7-8k on the tacho.. and no it does not take a long time to get there.

Its Bull Crap. Any Tom-Dick-Harry who rides both the 200 Duke and the 200NS back to back can very easily tell which one is very obviously smoother especially at 120 kmph.

According to that "member" the P200NS retains it smoothness only till 80 kmph. Bull $#I%
+1, the guy was fairly impressed in his first ride on the P200NS ans was not that impressed by the Duke in the motorbeam shootout but now his opinions seemed to have changed. And the issues (vibes etc) might be in a particular bike too. This review of P200NS I found to be the best review of them all. P200NS review

Some points he missed like the pillion comfort on P200NS, The smooth engine is a bliss ofcourse and Indians are suckers for smooth engines, the VFM factor of the Duke. Also the end part of the review gets biassed in favour of CBR250 where the 'member' seems to be justifying the money he spent on his bike. Finally one thing I like the end phase.. "End up buying any three of these and you would be in the safe hands"

Also one thing I find it very stupid *The Heart Decision* one. So even when someone owns a CBR250 also its not entirely heart decision otherwise every other guy would end up buying S1000RR/Aprillia RSV4-IPRC. The heart also likes it when you make a good decision from mind. If you get 50% discount on some good branded accessory how happy your heart feels. The 200NS is a steal in a similar fashion. Heart meets mind == P200NS.
