          Hi,

I paid the full amount in DD yesterday and asked them to show me the bike before registration, so i can do the PDI. Today they let me see my "Night Fury"
Yes. I call My TB500 the Night Fury, as my name says it. It is going to be my buddy for the years coming. No doubt about that. And the matte finish reminded me of the skin texture of Night fury from the movie "How to train your dragon". It can be cute and cuddly but also frighteningly fast and hard to tame. I know i need to grow up
Here is a short video of Night fury from the movie.

Today is the first day i saw TB 500 Stone black up close....... and............ I fell in love
I test drove TB350 and Desert storm 500 but havent seen the TB500 stone black in flesh.

I wanted to do the pdi.
The sales person who accompanied me told, "Sir you dont have to worry about the quality issues and I am 200% sure about it, everything is checked already. Also it is from the new factory."
I am not sure why did he say "checked already". Are they (RE) started doing Quality checks now ?
He kick started the bike and showed me the electricals functioning. As it was 6 in the evening, I couldnt do the PDI as extensive as it has to be. But I was already kinda stoned after seeing the beauty. So i thought to myself, even if there is any issue I could fix it later. And the sales guy also told their team would take the whole responsibility if there is any issue.
So I took a couple of pictures. The sales guy told I was not supposed to take pictures before delivery. So I apologized () , thanked and left the place dreaming..

My concern is.. they have pasted a set of instruction on the tank. Which spoils the look of it. Did you guys peeled off the sticker ? did it leave any mark on the tank ?
And a big thanks for all the Threads and posts by the RE TB 500 owners

Congratulations mate. Enjoy the thumping. There is a famous saying for RE - as soon as you kick an RE you get f****d for life.

Enjoy the experience on the beast. The thought that Now I have to ride my TBTS still bring smile to my face whenever I leave home in the morning or whenever I leave office in the evening.

And what sealant are you talking about?

Haha.. first time hearing the saying. But sounds true

I just heard from my friend, that matte surfaces can be protected by sealants. Have you heard about Nanolex ? it is quite pricey.. around 50 usd for 100 ml.
I havent started searching for a sealant yet. As of now, i have heard there is some sealant which can protect the matte surfaces. If you could get some info on it. Please share.

Also, you are using a wildboar silencer right ? how does it performing.. Do you have any video of it to share. just curious how it sounds in TBTS 500

                    Cheers

I haven't heard about it. But reading your post it sounds expensive. You can get entire bike re-painted with 100 USD 😋

Yes I am using wildboar. Amazing silencer. Felt the real RE sound on my bike only after wild boar. I shall upload the video tomorrow for you. 😃

Haha.. i thought of naming it toothless.. but it doesnt sound as crazy as Night Fury. If only it had a tubeless tyre, we could have called it "Tubeless"

Sorry about the dry joke. Cant resist from typing.

Im a 3d Animator by profession. So i was one of the biggest fans of How to train your dragon movie and the character Toothless was my fav.

yeah. It is expensive. As its an international product. so is the cost. I thought I could find an affordable indian made product. Havent started the hunt yet
Do you have a bike cover ? I heard most covers dont fit the Thunderbird. Is there any specific size cover for Tb500 ? dimensions ? or any online shop ?
And yes buddy. please post the video of the wildboar screaming..

Congrats buddy and welcome to the family. Have a wonderful, wonderful time with your night fury. BTW the saying about which Vinit mentioned here, probably he was referring to the one said by Bobby Singh in the latest video of Old Delhi Motorcycles.

Congrats again. Do keep us updated
