Ridden for a 100kms with the WB. So far no problem. The tb500 has a catcon in the bendpipe where it ends. No much increase in performance. If required can grt the ecu remapped. But no plans of doing cause I am happy the way the bike is performing.

Currently I am using the RE upswept silencer with k&n and there is slight backfire. I guess there will be more backfire in Wild Boar as its free flow.

Changing the silencers, air filters may change the amount of air intake and back pressure as the stock ECU is set to work with stock bike. An aftermarket ecu or an ecu programmer helps here to get rid of these issues apart from chalking out more power from the machine. I haven't replaced an ecu before so all I know is from various threads on this forum. There are Classic 500 fitted with RD ECU. Search the forum. You can also check PowerTRONIC - Plug-in ECU for Yamaha R15 and Enfield Classic 500 | racedynamics.in
I bought the 2013 costing rs2900 and rs80 for transport. Yes its a direct fit just like plug and play. There is no backfiring on the WB. My airfilter is stock. But backfiring on an upswept is something unheard of. My friend has the classic500 with upswept. Have ridden his previously but it never backfired.

Refitted the original silencer of tb500. Reason: drop in mileage of around 10kmpl. Can't afford that drop because its used for commuting too, though petrol is cheaper here-rs58.67
Don't mind sacrificing the thump for tb500 cause the ci std350 is there to satisfy me with the sweet thump.

I replaced the Silencer to Quality Chennai silencer. Its original look alike... and the thump is awesome...

When rev up... the Sound is loud ... but not annoying... its a head turner...

              Loving it...
Great. Please post a better pic emphasizing the new exhaust. I've also replaced mine with quality chennai /w glasswool. To be honest, thump is no where close to CI ones but have a sound note of its own (sort of bassy goldstar like "phatt-phatt") and trust me its amazing. And yep, everytime bike is pulled in higher gear, puts a wide grin on my face!

Just got a call from RE dealer for my already booked Stone Black TB500. It has come here after many months. I am in double mind, whether to go for Matt Black or Glossy Black. Gurus here please help. I have to reply tomorrow (9 nov).

                    Hey there,
This confusion will always be there even after the delivery.. matte or glossy. .
See dont try to connect with body n colour. Connect with the engine (heart). Colour doesn't matter that much at least for me.. as its gonna go fade its gona get scratched.. u can't store it in your house. You will be riding in the city, you will be riding on the highways. . So my friend buy any colour and you can always get her repainted any time.. glossy or matte..

Its not free flow. Its of glass wool. It a direct fit. I paid 3.7K for it at Showroom.

After installation, I got a milage of 30 - 32.(Although I did not test mileage before changing Silencer )

Has Driven more than 200 km as of now, no problem faces till now.

Specs can be checked at Quality chennai website : www.qualitymetalindustries.com.

Thanks buddy. And 32 is a pretty good figure in terms of mileage for a 500cc engine
