Kindly suggest the best sprocket for increasing the top end, other than Bajaj (have heard some negative feedback from friends).

Thanks in Advance to all of you.
I think Rolon makes chain & sprockets for all Indian bikes.
So there's no other (good) option.
How much do you wanna gain on top? And how much you are ready to sacrifice on acceleration?
For e.g. Shifting to 15T front should give you some 5kmph increase but your acceleration will go down drastically.

First of all, Thanks for the reply and suggesting the brand Honda_CBF.

Well strictly speaking, I don't wanna loose both acceleration as well as top end.

But, practically from what I have read in this thread, I guess we have only one choice, hence I decided to tune it for top end which would help in cruising at good speed on Highways.

If the loss in acceleration is negligible then I wont mind changing to the setup mentioned above.

Any suggestions from you and all the Xbhpians are welcome.

No bro loss in acceleration wont be negligible..
I myself, shifted to 15t front sprocket from 14t, and after this mod the claimed fastest 125cc bike, now seems like 96cc bike, in terms of acceleration..
I suggest you to drop only 1 teeth from rear sprocket, because p150 is a well geared bike. Should give you 1-2kmph increase

Deepak, you don't seem interested in losing too much acceleration. Your current setup should be 15T front and 44T rear, unless company decided a different setup for one batch of bikes.

The best suggestion is to replace only one teeth at rear. Acceleration loss would not be noticeable. So, you do this:

Verify if your bike has 15/44 setup like I told. If yes, get a P180 UG3 rear sprocket which should be 43 Teeth and install it. You will gain slightly in top speed and highway mileage when you ride sane, without any noticeable difference in acceleration.

@ honda CBF: Dude, You said "shifting to 15T"...
Correct me if I'm wrong but the P150 UG3 already has 15t front so that's out of question.

If thats the case, then I'm not gonna change the front. Will reduce one teeth from rear sprocket.

Will check whether it has 14T or 15T front and 44T at rear. Thanks for the guidance bro.

He must have taken it from Discover's front. Or it must be a different model than UG3.

@ Deepak: Please remember that one teeth change in front changes gearing a lot. Almost equal to 3 teeth at the rear. ok?

                          Hi Guys,

                          Sorry for the delayed update.

Finally Changed the Sprocket from 14T-44t to 15T-44T.

Went for the sprocket from Bajaj (Rolon with Bajaj packing, as Rolon makes chains to Bajaj).

(The backside of packing from Bajaj said: "Pulsar 180 UG3, 15T - 44T")

Coming to the performance, as warned by both of you, Acceleration has gone down
(but IMO its sufficient for Bangalore's Traffic).

And coming to the high speed run on highways, felt the engine is not that stressed as earlier.
Didn't take it the maximum limit though. Need to check FE at higher speeds.

Thanks to both of you for all your suggestions guys,

Hope this information will be helpfull for others too.

                          • 16T front sprocket for honda dazzler

Hey all, i own a honda unicorn dazzler. Its sprocket config. is 15T-42T. I want to make my overall gearing taller, so would like to change the front sprocket from 15T to 16T. Is 16T front sprocket readily available?.....i mean is any of the bikes in India having by default a 16T front sprocket which could be a direct fit for my dazzler? As per my knowledge, I haven't seen a single Indian bike with front sprocket larger than 15T! am i right? If yes, where can i get a good quality 16T front sprocket?

Don't know if the shaft will suit !! Instead try on the rear sprocket. Increase it by 2T or 4T i.e. 44 or 46 !!

increasing the no of teeth on the wheel sproket will make the gearing shorter, so better to go for a 40 teeth rear sproket if you can find any
