@ AshwinPrakas: Engine braking is well controllable and you'll have to gearshift accordingly. No, engine braking shouldn't have any adverse effect on the bike...
If you engine brake too much and too hard, your tyres might skid or in long term clutch plates are affected. That's it.
That modified Karizma you posted has "KRP" written all over it. It means the bike was modified at:
Kaulson Racing Products,
7/58, South Patel Nagar,
New Delhi - 110008.
Tel.: 011 25842215 & 25840741 Fax: 011 25841200.
Email: [email protected]
However, deal with them at your own risk. Last time I called, they were not very polite. Other members have complained of their bad service and inferior products.

@ manewolf: Almost all Indian chain sprockets are made by Rolon and are quite durable. Chain strength is determined by its width... Your current setup is .428 which is quite strong already. A .520 chain sprocket kit (Pulsar 220/ 200, Karizma, etc.) might slow down your bike due to its weight.

@ sid_speedstakes: Please use smaller fonts. Also, understand that sprocket is NOT a power modification, its only gearing modification.
I mean, if you want more top end, you'll lose a bit on acceleration and vice versa.
That's gearing. You can't get both acceleration and top speed increase using gearing, ok?
Yes, K&N will be able to increase your power output. For your P220, you should go for K&N Filter model: BA2201.

. Its a combi if 40/13T. Regarding chain cover, it should fit in bcz its just the pitch not width which is bigger.
Just my personal opinion.
