Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Guys check the petrol overflow tube which comes under the petrol tank left hand side shroud. It's the cause of the rattling noise. Try to relocate it to some place inside.will be free from rattling noise.surveyed,identified,rectified..this is for my ride. You people can check this issue in your ride.this issue may be a reason.Originally posted by maverick180 View PostAnybody out there who has faced a similar issue and how it was resolved. Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi Guys,
I went on a test ride of the 390 yesterday and absolutely loved it!! The bike is simply amazing! Im holding off buying the bike hoping that Bajaj will drop the price post budget any day now.
I need some advice on whether its better to buy the bike directly from the KTM Factory shop or from a KTM dealer (Suryoday Bajaj/KTM) . My concern is mostly that I want to ensure that the services are done properly as required if the bike is purchased from a dealer as they have their own service station.
Thanks for any help you can provide. Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle!

Fuel tank cap for me.Originally posted by nelson_sanjoy View PostI will...
But I doubt if its from that down, I get a sound more near the headlight. Somebody also mentioned the coolant cap hitting the plastic tank. Any other checks...Ride more, browse less.

Went to Test Ride D200, but the dealer did not have the test mule for D200, but insisted that I should TD D390 and I'll have a bit of an idea....and for a few moments, I was like.."Are you nuts?
".....took the qoute etc.....and then thought why not Test Ride it and it will be a good comparison when I get hold of D200...
And boy...this bike is a ROCKET. Period.
The bike was in second gear and with open road ahead I opened the throttle and it was like handle bars were slipping out of my hand
...but the bike in all gave a smallish and compact feel.
As per the quote given to me by KTM at Jalandhar, the bike's prices have already been reduced.....it was priced at 2.05L OTR here and now it is around 1.97L.Originally posted by The Pain View PostHi Guys,

6000kms on the odo. I too was confused hence checked the user manual. The service interval is 5000kms and the second service is at 6000kms/150 days.Originally posted by nasirkaka View PostWhich ever is earlier! in your case, u reached the no of days before the kms, so have to get the service done.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Can you please confirm the OTR price? I was quoted 2.13L OTR here in Hyderabad. I asked them specifically regarding 4% price cut, referring to Honda, TVS, etc who had already announced price cut. They gave some story, like Honda, TVS etc are Indian manufacturers, KTM will be getting the price cut in April, which I'm not convinced. Any official source of contact that I can check with?Originally posted by A[k] View PostAs per the quote given to me by KTM at Jalandhar, the bike's prices have already been reduced.....it was priced at 2.05L OTR here and now it is around 1.97L.
I'm in the process of finalizing between 250R and D390. My only concern is cost of ownership, can someone give me a ball park figure? I don't want to start another CBR vs Duke discussion. But I want suggestions from a prospective buyer point of view.
I'd be very thankful if any Hyderabad member is willing to help me offline.
P.S: I called the sales manager now, he's giving the same exact OTR price of 2.13L again. While Honda reduced the quotation to 2.04L from 2.13L.

Ex-Showroom: 1,84,110/-
Insurance+RTO+Others: 13,885/-
Total OTR: 1,97,995/-
In my opinion, you can play the waiting game here....last week I went to get the quote for D200 at Delhi and there was no price cut by then....if the price cut is reflected at one place, it will, at other places also...

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Thank you for the update guys.
I just called KTM Langford, Bangalore. They were quoting 2.12L, now comes the confusing part, they insist that the OTR was 2.20L prior to the price cut and it is 2.12L now.
