After a lot of thinking and going through the threads and listening to experiences. I booked a D-390 Black. Feel happy with my decision to go ahead and buy it and not wait fore the SS400. Will post the pics as soon as I get the bike and shall post my impressions about the same. Its a fantastic and VFM upgrade from my 8yrs old and 1,20,000kms run Pulsar 180 UG3

Yesterday I saw a black 390 at the SVC in Pune, it had an aftermarket exhaust. It had twin pipes like IXIL but the pipes we're bent at the end. Any idea what it might be. It sounded freakin loud.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle!

You can ask the seller or some friend to courier it to you.

No worries buddy. Contact them on FB. They will probably ship it to you. It installs directly over the existing shroud. Just remove 4 screws, install and put the 4 screws back.

They same guys also have a paddock stand for 2200/- and are in the process of making replica powerparts orange engine guards for the 390.

Otherwise, theres a ton of accessories that you can install on the 390 from websites like aliexpress or local bike accessories shops. Petal discs, levers, disc brake reservoir caps, fork/swingarm sliders etc. etc.... The list of accessories is endless depending on how much you want to spend.

Whats the feedback on the D390s Soft Compound Metzelers for travelling on 'kachcha' road (with concrete pebbles and potholes n stuff).
This type of road is part of my daily commute for around 500m. Should I expect frequent punctures? If so, whats the remedy.
There is no better therapy than riding a bike down a straight road at full throttle with the sound of the engine for company.

Go for PFZ or Slime to prevent puntures.

Oh the perks of owning a bike branded as an international product! This is the enviable benefit that owners of foreign brands enjoy - millions of aftermarket stuff. I own an Indian bike, the 200ns and the only drawback i face is the lack of aftermarket accessories due to branding, even though most of the time the ktms and ns's were developed side-by-side. Heck there is not even a dedicated free flow filter for this one! Ktm owners are lucky, as the aftermarket scene rapidly grew here after their releases.

One weekend I'm away riding and all this happens on the D390 threads.

For those who plan to own a D390 stay away, its got problem more than your GF's.

People who own the D390, its like a 26year old hottie done with a menopause...

Pics of the recent gateway... Loving this bike to the core, travelled with a pillion on wet roads and those metzelers have fevikwik or something on the road. Tested the ABS (Not purposely), near Kamshet there was an intersection and a trucker decided to barge in my lane, I was doing around 90 kmph speeds, ABS kicked in immediately as I braked, I remember reading in one of the forums that you need to stay put with the lever. Trust me the bike came to halt without skidding, forget the surface being wet, it was pouring bad and the Metz are 8,700kms old on my ride. We stopped and ensured everything was fine...

                                I had to pee...
