I was at Kasturba Road service centre today and I found a booklet which I found interesting. One snap from the said material

If this is so, then why has KTM introduced new seat design? Or am I mixing up issues here ❓
    Sent from mind through fingers.

Here the clamp position was changed. I think I mentioned this along with other changes last month . Seat is more cushioned becuase of repeated complaints of sore butt after long rides .

Yeh, ktm has a nice little table top calender type booklet that lists a few 'issues' and maintenance tips at the service area.
As someone pointed out, the seat was provided more cushioning for the butt, and the airfilter box improved because earlier models had some issue with the riders weight damaging the air filter box.

I remember reading in this thread that the terminals were breaking because of faulty seat design. Feeling lazy to search for the post.

That booklet also has answers to engine shutting off abruptly. It made me wonder if solutions are known what was the hullabaloo all about. May be I am missing something here.

I have tried Mekhri circle, Auto Service & Kasturba Rd SVCs.

Out of the three I prefer Kasturba Rd followed closely by Mekhri circle SVC. Only issue with Mekhri circle SVC is its too cramped and if you are not around then they man-handle the bike, if you know what I mean.

I found nothing special about Auto Service . For my usual servicing needs I don't find much sense to travel to other end of the city.

                    Hey Tushar,
I would suggest the Seawoods KTM service centre. I have been servicing my Duke from there and they do a pretty decent job.

Yes, I do my service here in Marathahalli. These guys just say to come in the evening even if you are the first person. When you say I cam first, they have the answer "sir, we have pending bikes of yesterday and only after that is done we can work on yours, so please come at around 4-5 PM. If your bike is finished earlier we will call you." Service is good, but they don't let you around, at least for me.

PS: Strongly inform them not to spray the pathetic polish sprays on your bike. They simply spray it all over your bike even at some inaccessible places, once it gets dried this thing just doesn't go and there are white spots everywhere.

Joe_marvy: thanks for sharing your experience. I feel it's not ideal to leave my bike with them for the whole day when the job should just take two hours.

It should be easy to give a ballpark number of when they should be done with their current stock to be serviced and then give us an appointment based on when they'll be free.

Should we be late for the appointment, we can maybe be demoted to the next slot. I wonder what KTM's official stand on this is.

I never leave my bikes at a svc. I'm always hovering around and inspecting the quality of work till they finish. I also make sure to get the 1st appointment no matter what day of the week it is.

While leaving though I always also tip the mech who worked on my bike 100 bucks if I think he's done a good job. This also makes them much more tolerant of my inquisitive behavior

Not really. The max time it takes for them to service a bike is around 25 mins without a wash. Take a prior appointment so u can reach on time

                                Svc is service center
