Its a fazer windscreen. I had drilled the holes by myself (there was some trial and error), because stock holes in the fazer screen won't fit. It's quite secure and doesn't move around. Provides decent wind protection, much better than stock , in fact i think its better than even the aftermarket ones that KTM sells. Total cost was around 400 ( including drilling)

here's a close-up pic (from the same ride)

Extreme Vision is whiter than stock bulb, but not as much as the pure white ones. I think it was mentioned as 20% whiter than standard bulbs. Throw is considerably better.

Hi friends, I got my Duke 390 on July 15th and loving it every bit for the kind of performance it delivers. Just waiting for the running in period to get over. I have two issues which need to be addressed. One, I'm looking for a back rest for pillion as I have been riding with my wife. I saw some images of TB 350 back rests fitted on Duke which looks pretty functional. I stay at Delhi and would request if anyone here has done such mod.
Secondly, I'm also planning to go for an ixil hyperlow exhaust as I find the existing exhaust note too muted. Will this require a ecu remap? Also, does it render the warranty void?
I know these questions may have been asked on this forum before as well but as a newbie here, I look forward to some help from the veterans here.

Again asking, is there anyway to increase brake lever play?
What do you call a biker who does not wear a helmet? An organ donor.

The disc plate to bend must take a significant hit, now, coupled with the bent rim, you won't get that wheel trued to spec as what you get from factory. My suggestion would be get a new rear alloy and a new rear disc that should definitely give you peace of mind.

Mending on a bent rim isn't new, but you never know which part of the alloy is now structurally weak, not to mention your current rear alloy would go under hammer and you never know which area of the rim gets even more weaker. All that fuss aside, it'd be new alloy and a plate if I were you.

              Cheers!

i've heard of the place in ranigunj that fixes rims and a friend had his fz rear wheel fixed at that place.
but again, depending on the damage the repair might hold up or weaken the rim. Minor bends when repaired will hold up well, but if you notice a crack, simply replace the rim.
why don't you claim insurance and replace the rim + disc.
iirc you were one of the first guys in hyd to have the front rim broken on the 390, so why not go the same route and get it all replaced in insurance.

try not to use solid grease on the chain (it is good, but difficult to come off during cleaning plus it attracts n hold too much dirt), the next time get the chain cleaned with a toothbrush n diesel and use a light coat of engine oil and the next day spray on the nulon grease spray (costs around 350rs for a 700ml can)
the rear dampers should also be pretty cheap, so just get them replaced anyway.

It's the front rim he's having an issue with..
I'm back to square one. Took the bike to rim throwing guy and he inspected both the rim and disc plate, said everything is fine.
He insisted that everything was fine even when I showed the pot hole mark.

I was confused by my friend and the KTM guy at madhapur when they showed the marked spot as bend.
Even I couldn't see the bend at that time and went by my friend and mechanic's word.

I took the ORR service road to check the bike's handling thoroughly. At 50-60 kmph if I leave the handle, bike was going dead straight.
After decelerating to 20 kmph, bike suddenly sways to right. The same scenario repeated over several trails.

I'm almost giving up on this as I had already wasted a week's time and money over this.

After some keen observation, it appears to me that the left handle bar holder is slightly twisted to one side.
At this point I highly suspect this to be culprit. I'm fed up going to the mechanic again and again, so I'll try fixing it myself over the weekend and update here.

I got it done at a local sticker shop. Since you're in bangalore, my friend suggested that you go to APT Bike Point. He said you may be able to get it done over there.

not for the front. on the rear foot brake pedal the free play can be adjusted. Check owners manual for the procedure, it is under the chapter "brake system"

Is it necessary to do a ecu remap when we get a third party exhaust

If yes where to get the remaps done and what are the charges

I think you should try mcguires.. its available on amazon. Tad bit expensive but the results are pretty impressive even better than turtle wax.. get three microfibres preferably 3m from cloudtail on amazon or abro microfibres.. one for shampoo washing.. one for drying.. one for polishing..

I got Cramster blaster riding gloves for 2100 from outdoor travel gear outlet bandra today.

Felt a bit odd riding with great since this is my first time but later I started feeling good about it.
It's leather and will expand and fit better with use.

                              Amazing gloves at amazing price.

I am also looking for a Cramster breezer 4s riding jacket xxl/xxxl orange color but sadly it was not in stock. If anyone can help me with it do let me know.
