Like I said long story about the bike. That covers the 70km part too :P Result of Mismanagement & Miscommunication between them.

Indeed it is butter devil post 4k. But is it only me or every new bike has this issue of feeling low fuel jerk around 2-3k RPM ?
And yes, figured out today that my chain is loose. Waiting for my paddock to arrive to fix it. btw is it possible to do it while its on side stand ?

      Once again Thanks
Yes. You can do while it is on side stand. And don't tighten it too much, it is supposed to have 4-5mm play with you on the seat. Over tightening will cause uneven wear and tear on sprocket tooth. Lubricate every 500-600kms n adjust the tension every 1000kms. Congratulations on your new acquisition. Almost every Duke I have seen weeps oil. Maybe it's a gap KTM needs to address.
The motul 7100 is also a FS oil. I've been using that on my D200 since day 1, Yes since the day i took delivery of the bike.
It's the 300V that I suspect based on what i have seen.
From my arm chair research, I've not noticed this complaint as much on international forums.. they use different brand of oils i guess.

Cool. So if I tight my chain and leave a 5mm play without sitting on bike. After I sit, it will reduce to xx mm ?
Have also heard that before adjusting, one should find the tight spot on chain and then adjust it. Sitting on bike funda is still not clear to me.

And thanks for ur wishes mate. . It is a hooligan. [emoji2]

            Hi Guys,

can anyone let me know if on-road price varies from dealer to dealer, or location wise?

how to check visually or in test ride if its 2015 model? i have ridden D390 only once that too an year before.
as per my knowledge only grips are the factor but it can be replaced on previous models showing it as latest one.
am bit worried, dealers can do anything to sell their product.

It's varies from location to location.. I.e. State to state.. But the power parts price varies from dealer to dealer.. And regarding the model version.. Below chart should help you.

              Current rates in Chandigarh

              Hope this helps!

The chain should have a play of 4-5mm with you seated on the bike. The reason is, suppose you carry a pillion or something heavy, the chain should be able to adjust to the flex under load, if not the chain directs the strain on the sprockets causing uneven wear of sprocket tooth. Hope you got my point.

Or else do this, after getting the chain adjusted, measure the play with a scale. Then you sit on the bike and ask one of your friend to measure again, you can notice reduced play under load. This is the minimum amount of play required for prolonging the life of sprockets.

thanks dude for reply, this chart is regarding engine number or chassis number?

am an old school guy who still rides and works on two strokes, not much idea about today's rides, but i know engine number and chassis number are not same now a days.

My friends friend got a Duke 200 last week and I got a chance to try it yesterday night, it felt really amazing riding it. I understand the term "Twist of the throttle" quite clearly.

It simply means don't get off keep riding with me and if u don't have one u get one :P

The Duke 200 was so refreshing after riding a zma for almost 10 years I can't wait to test drive a 390 this weekend.

                          Will keep u posted.

                          Ride safe :thumbs up:

..or you have to ask someone to sit on your bike while you inspect the chain slack

Hey man that looks great. The reason i am asking is because when in first gear the engine braking is so much that i actually slide forward so it kinda hurts in that area

                              Did u buy it online?

I have heard that the 390 feels much calmer to ride cause of better gear ratios. I do own the beast but its my first bike so i got nothing to compare it with. I"ve never ridden the 200 though
